One of our exchange students from the US is named [name_f]Lotus[/name_f]. What so you think of the name?
I love it! It was on my short list for years, but one of my nieces is nick named L0ttie so it nixed it for me personally. I think it’s a very underrated floral name that deserves more love, very in line with [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
It does make me think of [name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f], as one of the few commonly known and recognized flower names that isn’t commonly used as a name.
[name_f][/name_f]At first glance the sound isn’t super appealing. But the more I say it the more I can see it working as a name. I think I could come around to it if I became more familiar with it.
[name_f]Pretty[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- gentle yet distinctive
I have a love hate relationship with this name. Overall I find it quite pretty & the flower is beautiful however when I’m really tired my brain trips me up with it & I say Locust, as in the bug
I knew of one many years ago, and it surprised me how much I liked it! I’m quite drawn to feminine names ending in the “s” sound and the floral connection is nice as well.
It’s not my favorite floral name out there, but it is striking and unexpected! [name_f][/name_f] Plus the flower is pretty. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] Now that @GreenEyes375[name_f][/name_f] mentions it, I think the nn [name_f]Ottie[/name_f] or L0ttie would be very sweet for [name_f]Lotus[/name_f]!
