I adore the name [name]Louisa[/name]! I picture a smart, beautiful and fun person.

I really like [name]Louisa[/name], bit only with the definite ‘S’ sound. I found that too many people said ‘[name]Lou[/name]-eeza’ for my liking.

I totally agree phoebesmom! I am hesitant to add it to my list because I can’t stand [name]Louise[/name] that Z sound is just not my thing. But I am a huge musical fan and [name]Louisa[/name] from Sound of [name]Music[/name] is just so wonderful! I wonder how the majority of people would say it…

Irisrose I love that list, [name]Elisabeth[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] are already on my list but I think [name]Cecily[/name] needs to be added! I wish I could use [name]Josephine[/name], but the DH is named [name]Joseph[/name] so that’s just a bit too much for me.

HA I think it’s funny I just said that “Z sound” in [name]Louise[/name] is not my thing since [name]Elisabeth[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] have that sound and I love them! Maybe [name]Louise[/name] just sounds frumpy to me? I just know it’s not my thing. [name]Louisa[/name] all the way

I think it’s the ‘wheeze’ sound of more than just the ‘z’.

[name]Louisa[/name] is a lovely name with a vintage feel to it. A person with this name I picture as being intelligent, funny and caring. I always thought that author [name]Louisa[/name] [name]May[/name] [name]Alcott[/name] had a great combination of name. [name]Louisa[/name]'s sisters would have equally lovely names.

I, too, love the name [name]Louisa[/name]! It’s a very refined, underused name. I see her sisters being [name]Helena[/name], [name]Flora[/name], [name]Madeline[/name], & [name]Catherine[/name]. If I could have a half dozen little girls, one would definitely be named [name]Louisa[/name].

hello! as my username shows, i am a [name]Louisa[/name]! i really like seeing all your good things about the name because i love it! to me it feels classic and strong, but with a slight quirk that makes it more unique…im just hoping it doesnt get really popular!! i’ve never met another [name]Louisa[/name] and have always loved the fact that I was the only one in any school i’ve been to! still, downsides are that little kids often cant pronounce the ‘oui’ bit in it coupled with the a at the end so i do get called ‘lousa’ a bit!!
