What are your thoughts on the name [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]? It was my great-grandma’s name. It is my husband’s first pick, which means a lot to me that he has an opinion on a name. I think it is a pretty name but I haven’t gotten the best feedback from family and friends. Does the name sound too old fashioned? I do love traditional classic names. I would use the middle name [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] (w/the s pronunciation) [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a lovely combination. (I prefer the spelling [name_f]Luisa[/name_f] just because I like the way the grouping of letters look, but that’s just me.) What a nice tribute to your great-grandmother!
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] sounds lovely! Personally I prefer the spelling [name_f]Luisa[/name_f]. [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] would be a cute NN!
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is really lovely! It’s only old-fashioned in the best of ways in that it is one of many older names that sound appealing and fresh to modern ears (eg [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f]). You’ll find it often appearing on lists of suggestions on this forum, so seems to be a well-liked traditional name. I find [name_f]Louise[/name_f] to be dated in a way that [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is not. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a lovely combo, and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] and [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are lovely nns.
