Louise Camille or Camille Louise or Louisa Camille???

I can’t decide for the life of me! I’m very torn between [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. I originally wanted to name my daughter [name_f]Louise[/name_f] (to honor my grandmother [name_f]Luisa[/name_f]) and call her [name_u]Lou[/name_u] but everyone I talk to seems to prefer [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] so that has me second-guessing. I think I prefer [name_f]Louise[/name_f] because it sounds chic and edgy and I like that it doesn’t end in an a like many other popular names right now ([name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], etc.) But [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] IS also very pretty.

On the flip side, I’ve been hearing a lot of [name_f]Lu[/name_f]- names recently which worries me. ([name_f]Louisa[/name_f], [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]). I also adore the name [name_f]Camille[/name_f] and feel like it might be more unique. I don’t have my heart set on the first name being after my grandmother - using it as a middle would be fine.

Let me know what you think!

[name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] is nicest in my opinion.

[name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is dreamy! I love it

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] sounds the best to me.

I would love both [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] and [name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] the best. You’re right about [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. It’s chic yet sweet & smart. And that’s a good point about how it won’t get meshed in with all of the other ‘a’ ending names like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] might. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is pretty popular as a name, but I’m not sure that [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is going to hit the top 100 any time soon. At the same time, it’s simple & recognizable.

[name_f]Camille[/name_f] is nice as a fn as well. I like the nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f], but [name_f]Cami[/name_f] kind of seems…bimbo-y to me. That’s just my opinion.

Also, why not just [name_f]Luisa[/name_f] to honor your grandma? That’s beautiful & different.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

[name_f]Luisa[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f]! I love the International and sophisticated vibe of the [name_f]Luisa[/name_f] spelling.

I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f]. Using [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is honouring Grandma, yet the little one will still has her own name. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is YOUR favourite. Use it. Please don’t let other people influence you regarding a name you like.

[name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] is amazing!
It’s so sweet, vintage and chic! [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is lovely, but the popular [name_u]Lou[/name_u]/[name_f]Lu[/name_f] beginning and -ah ending does make it sound like more popular names, which you said bothers you. And [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is such an underused gem nowadays!
Also, just in case you don’t know, [name_f]Camila[/name_f] is in the top 20 and [name_f]Camille[/name_f] could get mixed up with it.

I really like [name_f]Camille[/name_f] as a first name, so I’d say [name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is my favorite.
