🍒 Louise will give you a curated list!

How lovely of you to offer! Of course, this is only if it strikes your fancy, no pressure.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]My[/name_f] top names are [b] Lyr (inspired by the constellation), [name_m]Eneas[/name_m] and [unisex] Amade, and I’m utterly lost on what to add to the list. I’ve a few more listed on my usercard, but nothing has clicked like these. Any crazy name ideas you could throw my way?

[name_f][/name_f]Alright…First of all, I loved your description of the “divine feminine” names. [name_f]Powerful[/name_f], graceful, fierce, wise, and mysterious is exactly right- and this energy led me to take inspiration from strong women throughout history and mythology. Greek mythology was what I thought of straight away- but I also didn’t want the names to be too “out there.” It seems like you don’t shy away from a bold name, and yet your examples are still approachable. So, while I think [name_f]Artemis[/name_f] and [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f] are great for you, I wanted something a bit less on the nose.

[name_f][/name_f]

One way I did this was to go for meanings, which I think really capture the vibe you are going for.

[name_f][/name_f]

*Disclaimer: I did this without looking at your UC and listography, so hopefully there isn’t too much overlap!

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]The full list[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]:[name_f][/name_f] This was my immediate first thought! She’s the perfect mix of wearable, but with a bit of sparkle. The meaning is so alluring
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Drusilla[/name_f]:[name_f][/name_f] I leaned into the moody, academic, gothic vibes for this one. I think she’s both ghostly and tough- like “elusive vampire swordswomen” kind of vibes, if that makes sense.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Morgaine[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] “circling sea”[name_f][/name_f]: I know you mentioned [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f], but what are [name_f]Morgaine[/name_f]? She has the same witchy, mystical, magical feel, but with a more archaic touch which I think lends itself to your style very well! I first heard of her in The Mists of [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] and ever since she’s seem very powerful, yet collected. Like she has an internal feminine sorcery.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Judith[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] “strong”[name_f][/name_f]: [name_f]Judith[/name_f] has always seemed to me like such[name_f][/name_f] a strong name, and not just because of the meaning. I’ve always enjoyed the connection to [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] (Judith was the name of his daughter, as I learned in the book [name_m]Hamnet[/name_m] and Judith.) I think it adds a romantic touch. Otherwise, [name_f]Judith[/name_f] is so punchy and solid that I had to include her!
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Seraphina[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] “burning ones”[name_f][/name_f]: With an indirect connection to the witch in the [name_m]Golden[/name_m] Compass series, I think [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] would tick a lot of your boxes! She has that elegant, soft sound similar to [name_f]Athena[/name_f], but with such a bold core underneath. The character makes the name remind me of long forgotten love stories, wild geese flying across the sky, a women with deep wisdom and passion.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Venus[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] “love”[name_f][/name_f]: If I decided against [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f], why not [name_f]Venus[/name_f]? I’m really liking the look of the sharp V with your aesthetic, as it contrasts the more delicate meaning. I also think the astronomical connection is so cool and perfect for that air of mystery and enchantment.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] “great queen”[name_f][/name_f]: Such a strong, warrior princess energy from this one! [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] is an old queen in Welsh mythology and fits right up there on the pedestal with your other queenly names.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Circe[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] “bird woman”[name_f][/name_f]: [name_f]Love[/name_f] the sharp but ethereal sound that she has, and the Greek mythology association.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Juno[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] “queen of the gods”[name_f][/name_f]: Had to suggest this one, as the meaning “queen of the gods” is just too perfect for your “divine feminine” energy. [name_f]Juno[/name_f] is quirky, tough, a little rebellious, and so beautiful!
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Itzel[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] “lady rainbow”[name_f][/name_f]: A little bit of a wild card, but I thought this could be a fun suggestion for you! However, I think “fierce” is just the right word for her. She has a lot of spark and spunk, but also the subtle allure of being the name of a goddess!

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]

Here are some notes with more names!

[name_f][/name_f]

As a bonus, I would name a sister to [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]: [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] or [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]And to [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]: [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]

@mellona

[name_f][/name_f]

This was a hard one! I was struck first by the imagery of Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f]. She felt very watery and mystical, like the name for an elusive mermaid or whimsical fairy. The meaning of Aetheria and the symbolism of [name_f]Nimue[/name_f] made me think of air and water, so I thought that playing around with the other “elements” would be a nice way to find a sister name. That was were it started, anyway- I may have gone off track with some!

[name_f][/name_f]

Some of these are matching the mermaid/siren feel, and others are going the opposite with imagery related to earth and fire, as a sort of contrast. I hope you like some!
[name_f][/name_f]I’m not great with combo making with two middles, but I’ve done my best. However, I would love if you switched up the names to make more combos if you feel inspired!

[name_f][/name_f]

Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & Abellona [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] [name_f]Gwenore[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria + abellona
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & destroyer of the thunderous wave”

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Abellona![name_f][/name_f]

I love Abellona for this set because of her strong meaning (connection to [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] the sun god!), but subtle sound connection to the Abalone shell. :oyster:

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]

Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & Eidothea [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria & eidothea
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & alluring goddess of fairies”

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Eidothea[name_f][/name_f]

A greek name pronounced (as far as I know) ee-oh-THE-ah. Apparently it’s the name of a sea nympth!

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]

Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & Caesura [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria & caesura
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & poetry of the white jewel”

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Caesura[name_f][/name_f]

Caesura was recommended to me by another berry as one point, and I love her for you. I pronounce it say-ZHUR-ah, and it’s the name for a small break or pause in a line of poetry. Not technically a name, but I thought the sound and sentiment were beautiful.

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]

Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & [name_f]Nereida[/name_f] [name_f]Estel[/name_f] [name_f]Altalune[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria & nereida
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & sea nymph of hopeful stars over the moon”

[name_f][/name_f]

Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & [name_f]Narcissa[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Io[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria & narcissa
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & youthful daffodil of the moon.”

[name_f][/name_f]

Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & Melisto [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria + melisto
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & burning one of honey and wild rose”

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Melisto![name_f][/name_f]

Saving this one for last, because I think it’s my favourite!
[name_f][/name_f]I first heard of the name Melisto in the book [name_f]Amber[/name_f] and [name_m]Clay[/name_m]- it was the name of a young girl who was sent to be a “little bear of Artemis”, a custom for girls before they were married. The story was fascinating, and ever since Melisto has had so much stubborness and spunk for me! I think she’s just as mystical and ethereal as Aetheria, but has a bit of fire for contrast! Plus, the meaning of “honey” or “melody” is just too sweet.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f][/name_f]

If I had[name_f][/name_f] to pick a favorite…gosh, it is so difficult, but I think I would pick Eidothea [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]! And I will have to read [name_f]Amber[/name_f] and [name_m]Clay[/name_m][name_f][/name_f]! I just adore Melisto to bits!

[name_f][/name_f]

I am afraid that I am mostly at a loss for words and cannot begin to describe my feelings for each name, but all I can say is that you did a phenomenal job and that I will treasure all of these names!! :yellow_heart:

Again, thanks a million! Have a spectacular day![name_f][/name_f] :sunny:

How about nature-inspired first names with vintage or “old-person” middles?

As for the names, your ideas of [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Kizzy[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]James[/name_m], and [name_m]Miles[/name_m] are absolute perfection. Your style for girls seems to be very bright, quirky, sweet, and outgoing, while your boys are softer, warm, and a little more classic. Both have a hint of the outdoors, of art, literature, and fun without being tied to specific references. They’re familiar, on the shorter side, not shying away from a nicknamey sound, and slightly [name_f]British[/name_f].

[name_f][/name_f]

I would say that [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Nell[/name_f], and [name_f]Opal[/name_f] are spot on. I love how they feel familiar and spunky, like true book characters in a sweet kids novel. I would encourage you to push for those.

[name_f][/name_f]I love your list so far. Making me think of totally classic names. Names that, no matter how popular they get, are always beautiful, and that have a lighthearted sound. I would add:

I have a favorite boy name combo and a favorite girl name combo and I’m looking for sibling names that fit the same vibe and style.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is the girl name! For girls, I am drawn to elegant and strong feminine names with vintage charm.

[name_f][/name_f]

The boy combo is [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]! For boys, I love classic and traditional masculine names with a bit of a literary flair.

[name_f][/name_f]

I’m also a big fan of nature and place names! Please feel free to take as much time as you need and thanks again for creating these!

Thank you! I love [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Luella[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], and [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is a beautiful combo!

[name_f][/name_f]I feel like you style overall is literary, strong, romantic, but still wearable. I see connections to astronomy, mythology, and European roots and origins. Here are some ideas:
