This was a hard one! I was struck first by the imagery of Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f]. She felt very watery and mystical, like the name for an elusive mermaid or whimsical fairy. The meaning of Aetheria and the symbolism of [name_f]Nimue[/name_f] made me think of air and water, so I thought that playing around with the other “elements” would be a nice way to find a sister name. That was were it started, anyway- I may have gone off track with some!
[name_f][/name_f]
Some of these are matching the mermaid/siren feel, and others are going the opposite with imagery related to earth and fire, as a sort of contrast. I hope you like some!
[name_f][/name_f]I’m not great with combo making with two middles, but I’ve done my best. However, I would love if you switched up the names to make more combos if you feel inspired!

Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & Abellona [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] [name_f]Gwenore[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria + abellona
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & destroyer of the thunderous wave”
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Abellona!
[name_f][/name_f]I love Abellona for this set because of her strong meaning (connection to [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] the sun god!), but subtle sound connection to the Abalone shell.

Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & Eidothea [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria & eidothea
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & alluring goddess of fairies”
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Eidothea
[name_f][/name_f]A greek name pronounced (as far as I know) ee-oh-THE-ah. Apparently it’s the name of a sea nympth!
[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]
Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & Caesura [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria & caesura
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & poetry of the white jewel”
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Caesura
[name_f][/name_f]Caesura was recommended to me by another berry as one point, and I love her for you. I pronounce it say-ZHUR-ah, and it’s the name for a small break or pause in a line of poetry. Not technically a name, but I thought the sound and sentiment were beautiful.
[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]
Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & [name_f]Nereida[/name_f] [name_f]Estel[/name_f] [name_f]Altalune[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria & nereida
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & sea nymph of hopeful stars over the moon”
[name_f][/name_f]
Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & [name_f]Narcissa[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Io[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria & narcissa
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & youthful daffodil of the moon.”
[name_f][/name_f]
Aetheria [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Nimue[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & Melisto [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]aetheria + melisto
[name_f][/name_f]“wealthy, ethereal lady of the lake & burning one of honey and wild rose”
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]Melisto!
[name_f][/name_f]Saving this one for last, because I think it’s my favourite!
[name_f][/name_f]I first heard of the name Melisto in the book [name_f]Amber[/name_f] and [name_m]Clay[/name_m]- it was the name of a young girl who was sent to be a “little bear of Artemis”, a custom for girls before they were married. The story was fascinating, and ever since Melisto has had so much stubborness and spunk for me! I think she’s just as mystical and ethereal as Aetheria, but has a bit of fire for contrast! Plus, the meaning of “honey” or “melody” is just too sweet.
