Anyone on here watching Netflixs’ You? I never would’ve considered [name_u]Love[/name_u] as a name until watching that show! Now with [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] Pedretti wearing it so well, it’s got me thinking! Opinions on [name_u]Love[/name_u]?
I think it works as a middle but I honestly wouldn’t want to be named [name_u]Love[/name_u] as a first.
I read somewhere that it was negative in the characters case, like [name_u]Love[/name_u] means nothing in tennis, and her brother’s name Forty is worth more, so the mother loved the son more!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] is one of my favourite names i don’t know how usable/practical it would be as a first, but i adore it as a middle.
it doesn’t feel very usable to me. maybe it could work as a middle, but definitely not as a first. if i was a woman, i wouldn’t want men to have an excuse to call me “love” all the time
It reminds me of an actress or stage name or I think of [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Hewitt[/name_m]. That said, it isn’t bad but I prefer it in the middle spot like Jennifer’s! Hart/Heart is also a name catching on and I also don’t hate that
I love it as a middle and as a first, though I do acknowledge it could be a bit much for some people and would worry my baby might be one of those people. However I think both Elovie & [name_f]Evolet[/name_f] would make awesome full names for the nickname love.
I don’t really like it as a first name, i wouldn’t like to be called [name_u]Love[/name_u]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] can be used as a sort of derogatory way to address women which I don’t like, though it can also be used as a caring loving way to address someone. I think that maybe it could work as a middle
[name_u]Love[/name_u] is sweet but it feels a bit too much of a term of endearment to me. I’d really like it as a middle though
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I don’t think that it’s great. It’s way too cutesy & just feels weird as a name. Plus, she’s not the nicest character to have a child associated with! I’d say it’s slightly more usable as a mn if you really wanted to use it. Easier to live with.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] seems a little on the nose for me, but my mom knew a Lovie/Luvy (not sure which spelling?) which I think is an adorable nn! I’m a huge fan of [name_f]Lovella[/name_f], which is an old feminine variant of Lowell… If unsure of just [name_u]Love[/name_u], I think Lovella’s a great way to get to [name_u]Love[/name_u] or [name_f]Lovie[/name_f].
Not gunna lie, I absolute love the character!
Like many other posters, I prefer [name_u]Love[/name_u] as a middle name. In the first name spot, it feels too personal to be called by strangers. I think it works well as a middle! (For reference, I don’t know the show; I think of [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_u]Love[/name_u] Hewitt.)
