The name of my current Instacart shopper :): Azucena.
I love [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_u]Azure[/name_u], [name_f]Azul[/name_f], etc. and Azucena too.
Does anyone know an Azucena? Thoughts on the name. It joins [name_f]Citlali[/name_f], [name_f]Xiomara[/name_f], [name_f]Briseida[/name_f], [name_f]Consuelo[/name_f], and [name_f]Yamileth[/name_f] as some of my favorites.

The Latinx students I teach have the most amazing names. I’m gathering a collection of them in my mind.

I’ve never met one but it’s a pretty name! It reminds me of sugar (azúcar) but I’m pretty sure it’s actually a nature name, which is a lovely connection. I adore floral names

I hope nameberry will add it to their list. We need more beautiful names.

I have never met anyone with the name Azucena but how lovely is that! [name_u]Love[/name_u] all the nickname options.
I do know an Azucena. She’s a kindergarten student at the school I work at. It’s the only time I’ve come across the name. It certainly has major impact. I was astounded when I heard it. It continues to remind me of the bright blue hues of azure even though I’ve since learnt it means lily.

Never heard of it, but it’s really pretty. From the other names you’ve listed, I think you might like Xochilt (so-chee)

I love the name Azucena! [name_f]Citlali[/name_f] is one of my niece’s middle names, and it means star in Nahuatl. I met a girl named [name_f]Yamileth[/name_f] while doing student teaching. [name_f]Xiomara[/name_f] is beautiful also. [name_f]My[/name_f] oldest daughter’s middle name is [name_f]Xochitl[/name_f], which means flower in Nahuatl.
