I have decided to renew my list a little bit as some of the names seem to have been on there forever. So I am looking for some fresh ideas!
My family is English/Spanish so I need names that are easy to say in both languages.
Here are some names I love;
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] (I like it with the nickname [name_f]Nina[/name_f])
[name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_f]Nina[/name_f]
[name_u]Carmen[/name_u]
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]/[name_f]Eleni[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonina[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonella[/name_f] (maybe with the nickname [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]?)
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
Any suggestions/opinions? The names on my list are quite “popular”, so I would love to see some more unusual names.
I am not sure if it’s Spanish or Italian but I walked past a shop yesterday with a sign saying “Luminara”. I think it’s really sweet and more fresh than [name_f]Luna[/name_f] etc. [name_f]Nina[/name_f] and [name_f]Elena[/name_f] are nice names too. I know a lovely lady called [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] (not sure what background she is).
Here are some suggestions, sorry for any repeats:
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f]/[name_f]Adria[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Aureliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]/[name_u]Clare[/name_u]/[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Pia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylviana[/name_f]/Silviana
[name_f]Raphaela[/name_f]
[name_f]Salvina[/name_f]
I just want to offer an opinion on the name [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]. This is my name. I just want to let you know that [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] is a difficult name to have, people can’t spell it, people can’t pronounce it, people can’t remember it. I gotten so many pronunciations, people’s accents can’t get it, and it is just annoying. I’ve given up on correcting people. But people do tell me that my name is beautiful, so there is a bright side. Still, I would recommend [name_f]Elena[/name_f] over [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]. And it is more Italian than [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] is.
