Hello friends… I get we can just do a nickname Lucy for Lucille…. But lately I’ve been team just Lucy as formal name based on potential middle pairings. Thoughts? Thanks!

Lucille/ [name_f]Luella[/name_f] _____ [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] flows well also with the three syllables then two at the end

Consider [name_f]Luella[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] [name_u]Wilde[/name_u]? I get such lovely moodboard imagery in my mind

Luella…=> Lulu…=> Lucy-Lu…=> [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
I come from a family that nicknames and this would be an easy and natural nickname

I think it works fine with surname like Trimmer though it could help to say it yourself out aloud

I do like both [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] has the edge for me :slight_smile:

[name_f]Luella[/name_f] is gorgeous - bright, pretty and cool! I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] could work, though I’d probably use [name_f]Lula[/name_f] personally - or [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] or [name_u]Lou[/name_u].

You could do something like:

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] works as a formal name for sure! I’m not the hugest fan of [name_f]Luella[/name_f] (just personal taste) but I love Lucille!!! I think with the middles you’ve picked, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] (Lucille [name_u]Rose[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] are a little choppy.) However, I think [name_f]Lucilla[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is beautiful and [name_f]Lucilla[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] or [name_f]Lucilla[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] flow so well! Maybe you’d like that?

Not sure how obscure of a reference this is, but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] is the exact name of the villain in the second Despicable Me movie, so I think [name_f]Luella[/name_f] [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] or [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] would work better!! Personally I prefer [name_f]Luella[/name_f], but both are nice

I swore she was the detective that worked with [name_m]Gru[/name_m] lol…. And was helpful to him but maybe I’m remembering wrong. We will probably use the [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] middle for a different name anyways but thank you for the heads up on that. I don’t want our child to feel like a cartoon character haha.

I love seeing [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as a full name but I’m a big fan of [name_f]Luella[/name_f] as well!
