For some reason, to me, [name_u]Luca[/name_u] seems more modern, whereas [name_m]Luka[/name_m] reminds me of Ancient civilisations somehow. In general I seem to like Ks in place of Cs if they’re in the middle of names, so [name_m]Luka[/name_m] is definitely my favourite.
I know what you mean. I also really love Ks in place of Cs but I’m tied on this.
This actually really stumped me haha. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] seems softer and more “magical” while [name_m]Luka[/name_m] is harsher so they give me different vibes but I voted for [name_m]Luka[/name_m] because [name_u]Luca[/name_u] seems like it could be mispronounced, or at least I would want to mispronounce it because of the softness of Cs versus Ks.
I prefer [name_m]Luka[/name_m] myself, though I do love both and often wonder which I actually like best…
I like the harsher, zestier feel of the K. That said, it often depends on the middle name and surname as to whether to use the C or K…often times, I think classier/traditional names suit C’s, while modern/quirkier names suit K’s. The C definitely softens the name; the K gives it a good kick!
I think [name_m]Luka[/name_m] looks misspelled. Prefer [name_u]Luca[/name_u]
I am the opposite – I try to avoid K’s whenever possible. I prefer [name_u]Luca[/name_u] to [name_m]Luka[/name_m]. (Ditto [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] to [name_m]Lukas[/name_m].)
I like the [name_m]Luka[/name_m] spelling. I would pronounce the two the same, but [name_u]Luca[/name_u] looks a little too much like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] for me. The spelling seems pretty “tied” too: Related Name Family Tree for the name Luke - Behind the Name
Thank you all, I think there’s a pretty clear divide (25 for [name_u]Luca[/name_u], 6 for [name_m]Luka[/name_m] so far) so it’s clear the favourite, although I would love more votes. 
I have no idea what the surname will be but I do want to continue my surname because I love it so much (** = my surname lol) if that helps.
[name_m]Luka[/name_m], definitely.
K’s always rub off on me well, and I often find myself substituting them for c’s. They make names seem different and much more modern than c names. I know several [name_u]Luca[/name_u]'s, and I love the name, but if I were ever to have a boy and give him the name, I would use the k spelling.
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] for sure.
