Which do you like better for a boy?..
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] or [name_m]Dino[/name_m]
Which do you like better for a girl?..
[name_f]Eleni[/name_f] or [name_f]Alessi[/name_f]
The last name has two syllables, starts with “B,” and ends in “s,” but there is a strong Italian heritage on my side of the family that I’d still like to incorporate, if possible, through an Italian or Mediterranean-style name.
I love [name_u]Luca[/name_u] for a boy and [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] for a girl! [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is so bright and energetic; with [name_m]Dino[/name_m], I think of “dinosaur” (although I’m guessing the pronunciation is different, and this association is probably just a product of spending lots of time with little kids!). [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] is distinctive and lovely; [name_f]Alessi[/name_f] feels a little bit like a cut-off form of [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] to me, even though I know it’s a name in its own right.
For a boy, I like [name_u]Luca[/name_u]! For a girl, I would agree with @dandy_orchid that [name_f]Alessi[/name_f] feels like it’s supposed to be [name_f]Alessia[/name_f]. Of the two, I would pick [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], but if [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] were an option I would choose that.
Luca and [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] are my favorites! Great choices.
From my point of view, [name_f]Alessi[/name_f] looks incomplete. [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] would have had my vote.
I don’t see much love for [name_m]Dino[/name_m], so I’ll pick him! I know someone named [name_m]Dino[/name_m], and I think it’s such a handsome, sweet name. I’m sure it might remind some people of dinosaurs, but because of the pronunciation, I don’t think it’s that strong of an association (or a bad one!)
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] is sweet too though.
I love your [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] option - so pretty!!
