Lucia OR Cassidy

We are team green! If this baby is a girl the top two names are:

[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]

Or

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]

Which do you prefer and why?

P.s. Lucia pronounced loo-see-a

I prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], no contest. (I pronounce it [name_f]Lu[/name_f]-SEE-uh. Not sure if you’re going with that prn, [name_f]LU[/name_f]-sha, or [name_f]Lu[/name_f]-CHEE-uh.) I love the sound and meaning. [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is not my style, as I don’t generally like surname names, although I think [name_f]Cassie[/name_f] is sweet. I like [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] as well; I’m surprised it’s not more popular.

Oh thanks for pointing that out I added how we would pronounce it! We have tossed around [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] as well it is a lovely name

I prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] with that pronunciation of [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] sounds better if [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] was pronounced [name_f]LU[/name_f]-sha.

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f], definitely. I don’t mind [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] but she pales in comparison to [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], in my opinion.

I like [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]!

Ok so that’s two for [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] and two for [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]…hmmm still no clearer!

I prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]! She is so bright, shimmery, and beautifully soft

But I can see why you are struggling to decide. [name_f]Do[/name_f] nicknames matter to you? Maybe considering [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lia[/name_f]/[name_f]Lu[/name_f]/[name_f]Lulu[/name_f] versus [name_u]Cass[/name_u]/Cassie/Dee/[name_f]DeeDee[/name_f] would help.

Good luck!

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] 100%!

I love [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], especially with that pronunciation. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is lovely.

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] gets my vote. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is more timeless for me, while [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is a little dated and surname-y.

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] all the way

Definitely, definitely [name_f]Lucia[/name_f].

I’ll cast a vote for [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] - it’s not my usual style, but I actually like it a lot, and I think [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] sounds beautiful. It’s a well known name without being overly common, which means it will usually be spelled and pronounced right, but your [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] wouldn’t have to worry about being one of 3 in her class.

Seeing as [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] have such different styles, I’d suggest considering potential future sibling names (if you’re planning to have more children). Does your taste run towards names like [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], [name_u]Logan[/name_u], and [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], or do you prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]? It’s possible that one of your choices is more fitting with your general preferences than the other.

I prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] to [name_f]Lucia[/name_f].

[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] is lovely!!

I much prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f].

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] by a mile. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] and it seems dated to me.

[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] used to be one of my favourite names so I’d vote for that, however as a combo I think [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] flows better than [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_f]Acacia[/name_f]

[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is beautiful so she gets my vote.
