We have been moving closer to [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] as our baby girl name pick, but I’ve started considering the alternative of Lucinana [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. We have an Italian last name (A-ma-t0) and while I do like the Italian pronounciations (Loo-CHEE-ah or Loo-chee-[name_m]AH[/name_m]-nah/Loo-CHAH-nah), I am still undecided. Siblings are [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f]. I anticipate that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] would be the main nickname for both options, but [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] provides lots of other nickname alternatives. What do you think?
[name_m]Both[/name_m] are beautiful names. I slightly prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. I think that [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] fits well with siblings [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f].
[name_f]Luciana[/name_f] [name_m]Amato[/name_m] is a bit of a mouthful, I prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and think it is lovely with [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f] (beautiful names).
I like both names, however I prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
good luck!
I think [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and I also think it sounds better with your surname. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] seems “just right” while [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] is 'over-the-top" in the feminine frills department.
I like [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] flows better with [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] (if you care), but I personally prefer [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. Flow doesn’t really matter much to me.
[name_f]Luciana[/name_f] has a lot more nicknames (including [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]) and [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] go SO well together.
I like [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]! <3
I think [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is gorgeous and I prefer it to [name_f]Luciana[/name_f], especially if you’re just going to nickname it. I prefer the Loo-see-a pronunciation by a long shot. It’s much smoother and takes advantage of those gorgeous, light syllables.
I like [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]! (variation of my middle name
)
I like [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] better with [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Raphaela[/name_f].
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] is less of a mouthful though (which is a good thing)
but for the sibset purpose I’d go with [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] (which is still gorgeous)
I like the Loo-see-ah pronunciation for [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] best. On the other hand I prefer Loo-CHEE-ahn-ah pronunciation with [name_f]Luciana[/name_f]. In that spirit I prefer [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_m]Amato[/name_m]. It is so very romantically Italian. But let’s be honest, no matter which you pick it’s going to be great. I love [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] so much!! <3 I’ve loved names from a variety of cultural origins, very much so, but I’m always drawn to the Italian names in the end!
I love [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] and it is perfect with your other girls!
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and [name_f]Luciana[/name_f] were on my list as well but I gave up on them bec of the inevitable luci nickname (my close cousin’s name). [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] was my husbands first choice but with our very Italian last name (ending in 'ella) it was too much. I personally prefer [name_f]Luciana[/name_f], it’s so feminine and beautiful. Plus you can always call her [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] for short.
