My sister’s name is [name]Lucia[/name], pronounced lu-see-a! I think lu-sha is kind of ugly, and lu-chee-a is okay if you’re from [name]Italy[/name].
[name]Lou[/name]-CHEE-ah. It’s an Italian name so pronounce it the Italian way. You wouldn’t say [name]Fran[/name]-SES-ka would you? I think [name]Lucia[/name] is a beautiful name but other pronunciations take away from that for me.

It’s also a Spanish named pronounced Loo-see-ah. So you can choose.
That was hard to choose. I love the name [name]Lucia[/name] and I’m okay with all of the pronunciations, actually, which is quite unusual for me. Italian, Spanish, and traditional Latin all pronounce it differently, and I think it’s beautiful each way, but when pressed to choose, I went with the Spanish style of saying it.
