What do you guys think of the name [name_u]Lucky[/name_u]? Is it too cray cray / cartoon-ish?
[name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought as an alternative to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or another [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] nn name.
Thanks x

I’m not a fan of using [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] as a name for a human. It’s a common name for dogs, so it would probably be associated with a dog and not with a child/adult.
Sorry, no. It sounds like a name for a dog or a nickname for an Irish bookie.
Personally I wouldn’t want my name to be [name_u]Lucky[/name_u]. It might be fine for a child but on an adult it just wouldn’t sound professional. It’s fine as a nickname though.
Sorry, I agree with the others. [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] works for a dog, or as a nickname. Not as a full name
I agree with the others as well - works for a dog or a nickname but I can’t picture it on a person.
[name_f]Clover[/name_f], though, I could get on board with, and I wondered if that was the name you were going to be asking about when I saw the clover in the subject line of your post.
That being said, I think [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] could be a really cute nickname for [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Luciana[/name_f], [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], etc.
The hip hop teacher at my dance studio uses Lukky as his name in the entertainment industry but in any other line of work, I think it would be hard to wear. It also makes me think of my best friend’s (male) dog. I agree it makes a cute nickname though!
Sorry but I think it would make a much better nickname than real name. If it’s being used to get to the nickname [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] I honestly think [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] would make a better given name.
I am going go against the grain here. It’s not my style, but I don’t think it’s that bad. People use [name_u]Angel[/name_u], honor and every other religious and virtue name…why not [name_u]Lucky[/name_u]? I find it more substantial than [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] and far more appealing than [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], sorry guys but I’m bored to tears with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. I will say I agree that [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] nn [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] is more my style though
I wouldn’t use [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] as a full name. However, it’s a grate nickname.
Suggestions: [name_f]Lux[/name_f], [name_f]Luana[/name_f], [name_f]Luisa[/name_f], [name_f]Luz[/name_f], Lua, [name_f]Lurdes[/name_f], [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], [name_f]Luzia[/name_f]
I actually really like it, but for whatever reason I would prefer it as a boys name. I have met way more dogs/cats named [name_m]Luke[/name_m], [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m] (all lovely human names) than I have met pets named [name_u]Lucky[/name_u], fwiw.
I don’t really like it-- probably because I’m a [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and I like the more feminine sounds. [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] reminds me of the character in several [name_u]Jackie[/name_u] [name_u]Collins[/name_u]’ novels-- [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] Santangelo. She’s a strong, kick-ass kind of lady (nothing wrong with that!) and very Italian American.
Not a huge fan of this one, sorry. I think it’s a bit too much word, and would be strange on a person. I also think it would be difficult to wear as an adult. Perhaps a unique virtue name like [name_f]Clarity[/name_f], [name_f]Amity[/name_f], [name_f]Charity[/name_f], or [name_f]Verity[/name_f], or maybe a different “l” name like [name_f]Luba[/name_f], [name_f]Lieke[/name_f], [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], or [name_f]Lumina[/name_f]?
