Thats silly. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a humans name. Why would your mom say that. Did she not see I [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]?

My beloved dog’s name was [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], but my parents named her after the Peanuts character. I love the name and don’t think it sounds like a stereotypical dog name! It’s not like [name_m]Spike[/name_m], Rover, [name_u]Rex[/name_u] etc.

I know 1 dog named [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], and that’s only because she was named after the (human) character in The Chronicles of [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] series.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a person’s name. Doesn’t matter that some people use it for their dogs, it’s not Spots or Fluffy.

It’s a great name! Any name can be a dog name so I think it’s doesn’t matter.

So yeah, you COULD call a dog [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. But its definitely a usable human name! I know tonnes of (people) [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]'s, and no dogs!

It’d be different if you wanted to call her Patch or something!

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a very sweet name, and I think it’s wonderful with [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and [name_m]George[/name_m]!
