While [name_f]Lu[/name_f] would be my default, I don’t think [name_u]Lou[/name_u] would be too much of a stretch.

I agree with pp. [name_f]Lu[/name_f] feels most natural, but it totally works to spell it [name_u]Lou[/name_u] in order to honor someone special. Go for it! :slight_smile:

(By the way, [name_m]Grant[/name_m], [name_m]Will[/name_m], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], & [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_u]Lou[/name_u] sound perfect as sibling names!)

I see the spelling [name_u]Lou[/name_u] more often than [name_f]Lu[/name_f], but I don’t think it really matters what way you spell a nickname (unless you plan on using the nickname all the time).
