I feel this way except reversed. for me [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is more of a child’s name, whereas [name_f]Zoe/name_f I can easily see on a beautiful, successful woman. (The y takes away a bit of the sophistication for me.)
I like [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] because it is a little more modern.
Thanks for all the feedback guys! It looks like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is the preferred choice. As for the [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] spelling, I’m not totally stuck on it and I prefer traditional spellings 99% of the time. I agree [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] doesn’t look as grown up as [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], but [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] looks like it’s pronounced like [name_m]Joe[/name_m] to me. I know it’s not but every time I read the original spelling, my brain wants to say ‘zo’
