Which name do you prefer/like better and why? (Please don’t say you like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] better than [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] over [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Not interested in opinions on spelling or more formal options at the moment)
Which of the two names is an overall better fit with the names listed in my signature, specifically the boy names?
[name_m]Just[/name_m] curious because these two names are probably tied for my favorite girl names at the moment so just want some input. [name_m]Both[/name_m] names are so short and sweet yet spunky and feminine to me! [name_f]My[/name_f] one hang up with both names is that I’m still unsure if they age well, especially [name_f]Zoey[/name_f]/[name_f]Zoe[/name_f].
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f], without a doubt. It seems like it would age better, as I could easily see a baby named [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and a grandmother named [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. It’s a spunky, vintage classic
Yeah they are both so darling! Not sure if either of them are THE name though. I have plenty of time to pick a girls name but I just want to find one I love as much as my favorite boys name! I think I’m looking for something in between [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] or [name_u]Josie[/name_u]?
I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as I think it grows with a girl and is both cute AND pretty sounding to me… I only see [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] on someone under age 15… I think it is a little too “cutesy” and I don’t actually find the sound pretty.
[name_m]Both[/name_m] are names that any girl would love to have but as a personal choice i prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] . I think its just so adorable and cute on any age .
I think [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] goes better with your signature names than [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. But I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] because it she’s very well.
I love [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]'s meaning in Greek “life”. [name_f]My[/name_f] ancient Greek professor had a daughter named [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] for that reason.
I dislike the [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] spelling very very much, though. The “e” on the end already makes that sound (characteristic of several Greek names) and doesn’t need a y. I think of it similar to Chloey, [name_f]Phoebey[/name_f], Thisbey, Penelopey…not good at all! Thank God I haven’t seen those spellings
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is darling, so I would go with that
I pick [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. I think it is classic and lovely. I admit that part of the reason I choose [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is because you want to stick with the spelling [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] and I really don’t like the way it looks. I like [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] so much more.
I vote for [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]/y.
I am planning my wedding and have two [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]’s under 8 coming (out of about 100 guests) so I’d personally avoid it. And [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] was my first name crush and I still have a soft spot for it - I’m probably going to consider it as a mn for a future kid at some point.
I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and really don’t like [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] based on people who I have met, but that shouldn’t get in the way of how you feel about the name! But in my honest opinion [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is overall a better option
