Lydia or Embre.. I'm undecided

My baby girl is due the 27th this month. I still haven’t chosen a name. My name is [name_f]Emily[/name_f] so I like the thought of having a name sake. My husband chose [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] off the list of names I had made… My other girls are [name_f]Ella[/name_f] , [name_u]Hayden[/name_u] and [name_f]Allura[/name_f]. ( my son is [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]) I guess I have struggled with naming her since this is my last baby… please share your thoughts. Thank you!!!

I like Embre! Very unique

I think [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is a beautiful choice! It’s very pretty, but also strong and spunky. It also fits in nicely too!

Definitely [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]!

I wasn’t sure how to pronounce Embre. If you’re pronouncing it as “ember” I would use the regular “ember” spelling. Or is it em-bray? Or om-bruh? [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is much more elegant and pretty in my opinion.

I love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]! Much more timeless and elegant than Embre.

I prefer [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], and think it works best with her siblings names too. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] gives them all their own initials, and I also feel Embre is too close to [name_f]Emily[/name_f] in regard to having multiple children without that close a tie to their mother in their first name. That said, I think it’d be great to use your [name_f]Emily[/name_f] namesake in the middle, for [name_f]Lydia[/name_f].

Also, I’m really not sure how to say Embre, I must admit - is it like [name_u]Ember[/name_u] (which I’d greatly prefer if that’s the case), or like the word ombré?

I love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] but I could see how Embre could balance out your daughters’ names, two traditionally feminine and two unisex. As pps have said, I wouldn’t be sure how to pronounced Embre so I prefer [name_u]Ember[/name_u].

What about [name_u]Ember[/name_u]? Such a cute choice. Otherwise, Embre goes better with your other kiddos!

I much prefer [name_f]Lydia[/name_f].

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] would round off your names so nicely…

I love Embre!

I think [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] goes nicely with your other children’s names. I am not sure if Embre is pronounced like ember or ombre. Maybe use that in the middle spot?

[name_f]Susan[/name_f]

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] fits in with the others better, though I prefer Embre. It’s much more unique, and plus I’ve never been a big fan of [name_f]Lydia[/name_f].

Embre is pronounced [name_f]Em[/name_f]- [name_f]Bree[/name_f]

What is Embre? Of the two, definitely [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]. If the name was [name_u]Ember[/name_u], it would be my choice.

I adore [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], but Embre works well with your other children’s names. The pronunciation “[name_f]EM[/name_f]-bree” is not intuitive at all though, so I’d recommend using the spelling [name_u]Embry[/name_u] instead.

I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], & so I prefer Embre. But because of the pronunciation issues that others have mentioned, I’d go w/spelling it either [name_u]Embry[/name_u] or Embree.

I prefer [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], but if you go with the other, I’d spell it [name_u]Embry[/name_u]. It’s the more common spelling, it has a clear pronunciation, and doesn’t look like dyslexic [name_u]Ember[/name_u].

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] Embree
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Ember[/name_u]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] Emmay … like [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] Emleah
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_f]Emmalynn[/name_f]

[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] fits nicely with the rest of your children’s names
