which spelling to you prefer and why? also do you get a different vibe off of the name based on the spelling? I like both am just worried about the lee-la pronunciation with [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
I like the tidy look of [name_f]Lila[/name_f] best
For the lie-luh pronunciation - [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] that is intuitive to me
I do pronounce [name_f]Lila[/name_f] with an ee sound but that would be the one I would choose preference wise as I prefer lee-luh to lie-luh, but if you want to avoid that [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] seems your best bet
[name_f]My[/name_f] first instinct is to pronounce [name_f]Lila[/name_f] as Lee-luh. If you want Lie-luh, I’d recommend [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]!
I like [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] much better
I like [name_f]Lila[/name_f] better. I’ve only heard the LIE-la pronunciation for either spelling. If you don’t want LEE-la, I might lean towards [name_f]Lyla[/name_f].
Lila/Lyla is very floral, but not in a fancy way.
I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f], and I’d pronounce both names LIE-la! [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] looks a bit untidy to me
I like [name_f]Lila[/name_f] better for myself (personal association reasons) but for LIE-la, I prefer [name_f]Lyla[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] makes more sense for that pronunciation. [name_u]Or[/name_u] even Liela or [name_f]Leila[/name_f]. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] I automatically pronounce like lil-uh and then my second thought would be lee-luh, ly-luh is the last pronunciation that comes to mind for me but I also wouldn’t be surprised if I was corrected to that pronunciation.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] of those 2 but my favorite is [name_f]Lilah[/name_f].
I don’t know anyone who would be inclined to pronounce [name_f]Lila[/name_f] like (lee-la). I think [name_f]Lila[/name_f] also looks better than ultra trendy [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f], I pronounce both names LIE-luh
I prefer the more streamlined [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
I pronounce both names the same LIE luh
I like [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] best! She seems a bit snappier and cooler
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] for me! I’ve always seen [name_u]Lee[/name_u] lah as [name_f]Leela[/name_f] so that would be a non-issue for me. I think most Lila’s in [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries are lie lah? Either way, I’d still pick her, she’s so lovely. The Y doesn’t really do anything for me sorry.
I much prefer [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]! and it definitely has the pronunciation of LIE-luh whereas [name_f]Lila[/name_f] could be pronounced several different ways
I’m not a big fan of the Y spelling so my vote definitely goes to [name_f]Lila[/name_f] but I have met a [name_f]Lila[/name_f] prn lee-luh so some corrections will probably be needed but that’s also kind of unavoidable since spelling corrections will already be needed no matter which spelling you pick. I’ll suggest the [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] spelling as well, I like it just as much as the [name_f]Lila[/name_f] spelling but since it’s spelled the same as the ending of [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] people might be less inclinded to say it lee-luh?
im reading lila with lee-la pronunciation and i prefer that way. both are very pretty, but if you want the lie-luh pronunciation, lyla is more intuitive
