To be honest, it sounds just like a shorter version of [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f]. I’m not really a fan. Nicknames could also be Liss, Lissy, [name_f]Lyssa[/name_f]. I think with such an exotic and unusual name, you may want to stick to something a little tamer in the middle.

I’ve always heard [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] said like LYE-sand-er, so I would have instinctively said lee-SAHN-drah or lye-sand-rah. I like it well enough, but I prefer [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] (on a boy) to it, personally. I love [name_m]Leander[/name_m], too, but can’t get into [name_f]Leandra[/name_f]. I’ve always associated the two, for some reason. I like Lysandra [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] best of your combos, followed by Lysandra [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Leonie[/name_f], but not with Lysandra. Alternatively, I think [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] Lysandra would be lovely, though. I suppose it’s just the positioning of the names?

I like it when it’s pronounce the usual way of lie-SAN-drah. Pronounced your way, honestly, I find it odd and I don’t like it.

I’ve never met anyone with the name Lysandra, but it looks like a feminization of [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] to me. I agree with dantea, lie-sandra is my favorite pronunciation! Maybe you could nn her [name_f]Lily[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f]? I don’t think it’s such a stretch. For middles:

I immediately saw the name “[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]” when you spell it Lysandra. I also like Lyssi as a nickname.

I love it! I think [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] would be a sweet nn (Russian nn for [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]/[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]), and I’d pronounce it [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-[name_f]Sandra[/name_f], but I’m not positive I’d be correct.

It is a beautiful name and worthy of much more attention especially our name savvy berries. It has history and sounds like familiar names eg [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] but more exotic. It is definitely a winner in my book.

The only nicknames I can think about are [name_f]Sandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Liz[/name_f].
“Lysandra” is already a long name and ends with “-dra”, so I don’t think it’ll be harmonized with another long name or a name that has the “consonant-ra”, like Chrysanthe or [name_f]Electra[/name_f].
