Hubs and I have been set on the first name [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] for awhile now. We had originally been going back and forth on [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Paige[/name_f] for a middle but leaning towards [name_f]Paige[/name_f]. Recently we decided to honor a family member who’s name begins with an M for the middle name but we are struggling to agree. Anyone have any thoughts on these that we have come up with or maybe any others we should consider? Anything [name_f]Paige[/name_f]-like (lol) that comes to mind?
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] (spelling is TBD)
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] Madelyne
Another thing to consider is that our nephew, also born this year, is [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and I am afraid if we used [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] ([name_f]Michaela[/name_f]?) it is too similar to [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. Anyone agree with that or am I being crazy since the pronounciation is obviously different?
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]/[name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] do look similar, but sound really different. I think it would be totally fine. [name_m]How[/name_m] often would their full names be written next to each other, anyway? They will be [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] & [name_f]Adriana[/name_f]
[name_m]Just[/name_m] to add - our last name is pretty long (4 syllables) and very Italian. Although, any of the 3 names I mentioned above seem to flow well!! Thanks again!
I like [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] quite a bit, it’s unexpected and has great flow. I don’t think that you have anything to worry about regarding the [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f]/[name_u]Michael[/name_u] thing, however I find that [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] doesn’t have great flow. Same goes for [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] Madelyne. I loved the above suggestion of [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
Some other [name_f]Paige[/name_f]-like suggestions that begin with M:
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Megan[/name_f]
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Madison[/name_u]
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]
I love [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]! My second favouite would be [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], solely based on the fact that [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] doesn’t flow as well. I really do like the [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f] spelling with [name_f]Adriana[/name_f], though.
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] may look very similar, but they sound very different. I don’t think it’s really a problem.
I second @dream.create’s ideas of [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f], [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Adriana[/name_f]
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u], [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Mercy[/name_f], [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] and [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f]. Maybe you also like [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Maryse[/name_f]? (prn. [name_f]MAY[/name_f]-riss)
I like [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] the best of your current choices. Also adore [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]; it was the first name that came to mind for me as well. Other M’s that come to mind are [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_f]Marin[/name_f], [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Minerva[/name_f], [name_f]Molly[/name_f]. [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] btw (big thumbs up!)
Thanks for the suggestions everyone!! I think [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is adorable but hubs feels differently. I thought this naming thing would be easier but the “M” name is really throwing us for a loop. Open to any and all suggestions/ opinions.
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] is lovely! If you wanted to use [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f], I don’t think there’d be an issue w/[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]; both M-names are middle names & will rarely be used, much less when the cousins are together. I like previous suggestions of [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_f]Marin[/name_f], & [name_f]Marine[/name_f], because the meanings of all of them are sea-related & [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] is related to the Adriatic Sea (& I think all three flow well w/[name_f]Adriana[/name_f]). I also like [name_f]Mali[/name_f], [name_f]Malou[/name_f], & [name_f]Malia[/name_f]…I was considering [name_u]Meredith[/name_u], but it just didn’t seem to fit well w/[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] & a long Italian last name. Good luck!
[name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] was the first combo that popped into my head when I saw this thread, but that’s not really in line with [name_f]Paige[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Adriana[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u]! I don’t see any inherent problem with [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] ([name_u]Michael[/name_u] is such a common middle name that I wouldn’t worry about that similarity). The only thing is that I personally find them a bit long paired with a four-syllable first and last name. It might just be me, but I’d want to keep the middle name at two syllables or less.
My first thought for “similar to [name_f]Paige[/name_f]” was [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], but [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], and [name_f]Megan[/name_f] would be nice too.
