Really liking the name [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] at the moment as a little sister to our son [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m].
What do you think of [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]?

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is one of those names people either seem to love or hate - unfortunately, I fall into the second category. It is all granny to me and not in the cute comeback way [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] are, but more in the category of [name_f]Doris[/name_f] and [name_f]Mildred[/name_f]. It has a wonderful meaning and definitely has the -bel trend that is popular today, but I can’t find the appeal 
So many others love it though! I think [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is quite nice as a combo and works well with [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] 
I have a bit of a soft spot for [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], although I prefer the more out there name [name_f]Maple[/name_f] 
I know a very sweet lady, in her 50s, named [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and her personality has helped me to like [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] a lot more than I used to and actually be able to picture it on a person. It is old-fashioned, but still a nice name. I think it works very well with brother [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]!
Out of your choices, I like [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] the [name_f]Mable[/name_f] I know is named [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], which I think is beautiful as well. Good luck

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is WONDERFUL. I know a little girl with this name, and it suits her perfectly. I think it’s spunky and very cool.
I love [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]'s soft, sweet sound and feel it would be a wonderfully unique name without being totally unheard of. Unfortunately my husband has decided he doesn’t love [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]… funnily enough he adores [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and although I did like it, literally everyone we know has told us how much they hate it! It’s still a contender though and I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f].
