I love the nickname [name_m]Mac[/name_m] for a girl. However I am not a fan of highly popular names. So i am looking for uncommon names that would allow for a [name_m]Mac[/name_m] nickname. Any ideas?
You might not find much help here on nameberry, as [name_m]Mac[/name_m]-names are traditionally male ([name_m]Mac[/name_m] and Mc both mean “son of”) and relatively few 'Berries like the trend of boy names on girls.
The only thing that comes to mind at the moment is [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] (spelled exactly that way, no [name_f]Mikayla[/name_f]/[name_f]Makyla[/name_f] nonsense), which could be easily nicknamed [name_m]Mac[/name_m].

I like the suggestion of [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]. Other than that, I’m not sure there are many legit female names that lend the nickname [name_m]Mac[/name_m].

Technically, anyone with a Mc/[name_m]Mac[/name_m] surname can be nicknamed [name_m]Mac[/name_m], but I know that might not be what you are going for.
The only other not mentioned yet is far-fetched, but how about [name_f]Monica[/name_f] nicknamed [name_m]Mac[/name_m]/Mc/Mic? It does have the M and the C and it’s quite traditional. [name_f]Monica[/name_f] is a saint name and makes me think of Friends in a good way.
Other than that there is
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], and [name_f]MacKenna[/name_f]

Unfortunately the [name_m]Mac[/name_m]- suffix is so done and dated that even rarer [name_m]Mac[/name_m]- names sound, well, done and dated. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Mags[/name_f] or [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]?
Ooh, wait, I have one! What about McKay? I have to admit, I actually rather like it – though for a boy, not a girl.
I do like the previous suggestion of [name_f]Monica[/name_f] nn [name_m]Mac[/name_m]. It is warm and spunky!

I found the surname Maquelaine in my French-Canadian ancestry…that could work for a female ‘[name_m]Mac[/name_m]’.
I was going to suggest it for [name_f]Macaria[/name_f] but someone beat me : D.

There’s the Biblical [name_f]Mahala[/name_f]. Rhymes with [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]. A bit of a stretch but maybe especially with a C/K middle name.

Ma-kel-en…it was typically Anglicized to MacLin, but someone traced it back to [name_f]France[/name_f] and found the original form. It’s been traced to [name_f]Marne[/name_f], [name_f]France[/name_f], 1613.

What about Machara? I came across it in a list of Scottish names. Have also seen it spelled [name_f]Makara[/name_f] and McArra

You could always use an Ma name and a C or K name for the middle, and still call her [name_m]Mac[/name_m]. The first I thought of (and not really suggesting, just throwing out the idea) was [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], it can easily have the nickname [name_m]Mac[/name_m].
The way I heard it pronounced was actually [name_m]Mac[/name_m]-care-ah. But I expect the proper way would be like you said [name_m]Mac[/name_m]-car-ah. Gues could go either way.
