I have seen so many ways to spell [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Madelynn[/name_f], etc., (mad-uh-lyn)
I’ve seen madeleine pronounced both ways (mad-uh-lyn v. mad-uh-line)
How would we pronounce this name “Madelaine”
I know it can be any way I intend, but first glances, how do we think it’s pronounced ?
I’m reading that as Mad uh layne, which is not either “correct” pronunciation. For this name, you will just have to correct people since both are equally common.

I would say mad-eh-layn. The ending is reminiscent of [name_f]Lainey[/name_f] to me so that would be my immediate assumption and I honestly might be a bit surprised to be corrected, particularly in an [name_f]English[/name_f] context.
It’s a beautiful name!

I’d say mad-uh-LANE…(lane, rhyming with plane)
