I’m 38 weeks pregnant with my first child - gender unknown. Boyfriend and I have been struggling with names throughout the pregnancy. For boys, we’re considering [name]Caspian[/name], [name]Edmund[/name], [name]Evander[/name], and [name]Bram[/name]. However, we have no girls names. We want something that’s magical and fantastical - like something that sounds like it should have been a character in a Tolkien novel or a fairy in A Midsummer [name]Night[/name]'s [name]Dream[/name]. However, we don’t want any popular names (we live in [name]England[/name]). [name]Do[/name] you have any suggestions?
Well, Welsh names are your friend!: [name]Ceridwen[/name], [name]Arianwen[/name], [name]Guinevere[/name], [name]Eluned[/name], Gweneira, Eirwen, [name]Mairwen[/name]
On the Cornish front, there’s [name]Elowen[/name]
Gwenaëlle, a French name, might really work for you. Virtually unheard of, though I don’t know why, it’s beautiful and has a lovely fantastical quality to it.
sorceress; I like [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Morgana[/name], and [name]Aurora[/name]. A lot of these names I like, but they’re too popular for me {[name]Emma[/name], [name]Alice[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name] etc}
stormshine; I like [name]Lyra[/name]. I also like [name]Luna[/name], but my cousin named her daughter that, which sucks because [name]Luna[/name] is one of the few girls names that I ever loved, and now I can’t use it.
bellerose; I like [name]Persephone[/name], but I don’t think I’d use it. I like [name]India[/name] too, but it’s too popular for me.
cosmonaut; These names are a little too out there for me, for the most part. I’m also not sure they’d age well personally. Right now I’m leaning towards [name]Edmund[/name] or [name]Bram[/name] for a boy, because they sound great on any kind of guy, whereas I can only imagine [name]Arianwen[/name] or [name]Ceridwen[/name] on a very beautiful young girl. I can’t see an older woman with the name. I’m also not a huge fan of “[name]Gwen[/name]” names I can’t decide if I like [name]Seraphine[/name] or not…
Am gonna assume you already thought about [name]Arwen[/name] and [name]Eowyn[/name] before. [name]How[/name] about:

So glad that you like [name]Bram[/name]! DS is [name]Bram[/name] (pronounced like pram with a B) and I always get complimented on his name. I think [name]Bram[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] would be quite dashing.
Trying not to have too many repeats:
[name]Elowen[/name] (I actually think this is perfect for you, but I totally get it if you don’t like the wen names)
[name]Sylvie[/name] (I already suggested this for you, but I still think its great. It means from the forest and I think it would work great for little girl or grown woman)

[name]Araminta[/name] (maybe too frilly)
[name]Apollonia[/name]

[name]Endellion[/name]: like [name]Willow[/name] [name]Endellion[/name] or vice versa
I like the [name]Elowen[/name] suggestion! [name]Winnie[/name] or [name]Winn[/name] is a cute nn
