Maisie Rose vs. Lucy Rose??

Our little girl is due very soon and we still can’t decide between [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Big brother is [name_m]Eli[/name_m], so we’d like a name that fits with his. Any feedback would be appreciated!!

I like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! It has a lot of spunk and personality and it sounds fantastic with [name_m]Eli[/name_m].

I love [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!

I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] much more. [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has three strikes against it: 1) [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is a nickname name, and I usually lean towards formal name on the birth certificate; 2) [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are so similar that is feels like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a double word name; 3) [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] feels very much like a little girl’s name, an adorable little girl, but not an adult. I know [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is also a nickname, but it isn’t a word name and feels like it would fit on a 3 year old or an 80 year old. I do think [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be gorgeous, too.

I think that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds better, but [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_m]Eli[/name_m] really do sound great together. I agree that it would be better to come up with a full name for [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] because she may wish that she had a more grown up sounding name when she gets older.

I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is a name variation that can stand on its own.
