I’ve always loved the nickname [name]Maisy[/name]. Most people spell it [name]Maisie[/name], and in the play seussical, [name]Maizie[/name]/Maizy. I think [name]Maisy[/name] is the best spelling. [name]Do[/name] you guys have any ways to get to [name]Maisy[/name] as a nickname? I’ve come up with [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Mariah[/name], and [name]Mary[/name]. What do you think? Thanks!
[name]Marisol[/name] maybe, but it’s a bit of a stretch.
I like [name]Maisie[/name] as a first name, but I can’t picture an adult [name]Maisie[/name]/[name]Maisy[/name] etc, it’s too cutesy! I hope you get some good suggestions!!!
I adore that spelling of [name]Maisy[/name]. I’d use it as a nickname for [name]Margaret[/name].
I know a girl whose name is Mazarine, but she goes by [name]Maizie[/name].
I must admit that I named my little dog [name]Maisy[/name]! I like more human names for my dogs but I would love to see [name]Maisy[/name] on a girl! I do agree with pp that it may not age well but there are worse names on adults. Oh and I spell it [name]Maisy[/name] cause it’s easy to correct people and say “oh it’s like [name]Daisy[/name] but with an M” instead of spelling it out every time.
Personally I think [name]Maisie[/name]/[name]Maisy[/name] can stand alone. I considered using this as a middle name for one of my children to honour an older sister. I adore the name [name]Maisie[/name]/[name]Maisy[/name] and much prefer the [name]Maisy[/name] spelling. If I did use it as a nickname, I would probrably use it for [name]Margaret[/name].
I think [name]Maisie[/name] is a great name and you don’t need a longer name, just use it as it is.
I’d use it as a nickname for [name]May[/name].
It has the same sweet baby feel to me of, say, [name]Johnny[/name] compared to [name]John[/name]. [name]May[/name] is short but it sounds relatively serious.
Honestly I don’t mind it with [name]Mary[/name] or [name]Margaret[/name] either but I can’t see ever using either of those in real life.
[name]Marigold[/name] & [name]Marisol[/name] are my favorites are this genre. [name]Love[/name] them! And [name]Maisy[/name] could easily be a nn.
I think if [name]Macy[/name] stands alone, than so can [name]Maisy[/name]. I also prefer that spelling, as it’s the most obvious to me - really just [name]Daisy[/name] with an M.
