Make me love Simone

[name_u]Simone[/name_u] is my partner’s first choice for a name, and I like it, but don’t love it. I do love the nickname [name_u]Mo[/name_u], but [name_u]Simone[/name_u] as a whole seems a bit dated to me?
What do you think when you hear [name_u]Simone[/name_u]? Is there anything about the name that you love? Middle name would probably be [name_u]June[/name_u], which isn’t the best flow, but it’s an honor name.

I like [name_u]Simone[/name_u], it’s recognizable but not popular. I think of [name_u]Simone[/name_u] Biles - so positive association with the name for sure.

Maybe you’d like [name_f]Simona[/name_f] more? I prefer it to [name_u]Simone[/name_u] personally :white_heart:

Simone is a stylish and distinctive name - a hint of flair, a hint of seriousness.

This is my association too!

I think of [name_u]Simone[/name_u] de Beauvoir :black_nib:
and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] from the Swedish show “Young Royals”

I think [name_u]Simone[/name_u] is glamorous and elegant with a touch of foreign allure while still being very accessible. I like that it’s simple, easy to spell and pronounce, and recognizable while actually being quite rare and unique. [name_f]My[/name_f] associations are [name_u]Simone[/name_u] Biles, [name_f]Nina[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u], and Raven-Symone, as well as three girls I grew up with, one of which is a ballerina, another is a fashion model, and another is an artist and designer. All the Simones I know are friendly and successful!

I think [name_u]Simone[/name_u] is sleek and cool, but still warm and friendly; I’ve known a [name_f]Simi[/name_f] (short for Simona) and she was very charming and friendly, and a great cook! It has some lovely nicknames if you’re a nickname-person (Mo is fantastic!) and feels very versatile: she’s just as at home behind the scenes in a high-end fashion context as she is behind the counter at a local cafe. I agree with previous posters that [name_u]Simone[/name_u] Biles is a great positive association; she’s an excellent role model, and brings a youthful energy to the name.

[name_u]Simone[/name_u] is an excellent name but if you really can’t get behind it, how do you feel about [name_f]Simonetta[/name_f]? [name_f]My[/name_f] husband really loves the name [name_f]Simonetta[/name_f] as he had a lecturer with this name at university; he thinks it’s elegant and fancy without being overbearing. Plus it gives extra nickname options in [name_f]Nettie[/name_f] or [name_f]Etta[/name_f]!

I get a good feeling from [name_u]Simone[/name_u]! It’s classic and recognizable but not overused. It does have some glamour and mystique to me. I think of [name_u]Simone[/name_u] de Beauvoir and [name_u]Simone[/name_u] Weil. [name_f]Mona[/name_f] could be another fun nickname!

Also love [name_u]June[/name_u], and the pairing!

Lots of positive role models! Biles, de Beauvoir, [name_f]Veil[/name_f], Signoret, [name_f]Nina[/name_f]

It’s definitely ready to return

I LOVE [name_u]Simone[/name_u]! I don’t think it was ever popular enough to feel dated to me. I’ve only ever met one who was in one of my college classes. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f], artistic, tons of fascinating travel stories, probably one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.
