Male or female...or unisex?

If I said I had a dog named [name_f]Delta[/name_f] would you assume it was a male or female?

I really like the name for my new puppy. But I’m unsure given the consensus if it’s suitable for it’s gender.

Puppy in question is a border collie x golden retriever <3

A girl probably, but Id say generally its unisex. I have a girl cat named [name_u]Banjo[/name_u] and she is always assumed to be a boy based on her name :woman_shrugging:

That puppy sounds adorable! I actually have a friend w/a boy dog called [name_f]Delta[/name_f]. But I honestly think it sounds more feminine. It’s not bad for a boy. I would just assume it were a girl.

Thanks everyone for your input! In my head it’s unisex too but so many assume female I don’t want to do that to my little boy :disappointed_relieved:

Unisex. I like [name_f]Delta[/name_f] more on a boy though, tbh.

Female. But for a dog I think it works for either sex.
