Any thoughts on Malia as a sister to a Maxwell? Or the name on its own? Thank you!
I really like [name_f]Malia[/name_f]! Style-wise I don’t think it matches perfectly with [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u], but because they both start with M I do think there’s a cute connection there. Plus, I don’t think siblings’ names have to match perfectly.
I’m not big on matchy names and we honestly don’t have a style - I like names because of the way they sound or look or whatever if that makes sense, so that doesn’t bother me
Thank you!
[name_f]Malia[/name_f] shares some letters (M, a and l), but I don’t think they sound too similar so [name_f]Malia[/name_f] is fine as a sister to [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Malia[/name_f]! I think it works quite nicely with [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u].
[name_f]Malia[/name_f] is a beautiful name.
I like it!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Malia[/name_f] & [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u]! And I think they work pretty good together, not perfect, but good.
In love with [name_f]Malia[/name_f]! It’s my current best friend’s name and is pretty rare so I doubt there will be lots of other Malia’s in their class growing up
I’m glad it’s not super popular other places either! It’s likely to be non over here, as we live in Norway and there’s about 40 in the whole country with that name
[name_f]Malia[/name_f] is sweet and fresh
Personally, I could never use it - but I studied Latin and Spanish a lot in high school, so my brain turns it into “mal” with an “ia” ending instead of the proper pronunciation, etc.
you’d pronounce it Mal-ia instead of Mah-lia?
Instinctively, yes - I’m pronounce it “mal-yuh” rather than “mah-lee-uh.” But as soon as I thought about it, I was able to correct myself - it’s just my brain went, “Like malice/malnourished/etc.?” Root words and all that.
Is it pronounced MOLL-yuh, MOLLY-uh, or muh-LEE-uh?
Muh-Lee-uh
