Hello! Hoping for some wisdom!
We’re expecting a girl in [name_f]September[/name_f]. We already have a daughter, [name_f]Meredith[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] nn [name_f]Merry[/name_f].
We love that [name_f]Meredith[/name_f] is a name people have heard, but don’t usually know anyone else with. [name_f]Snow[/name_f] has a special meaning for us. Naming her was a breeze.
[name_f]Baby[/name_f] number 2 is proving much harder to name. We’ve gone back and forth a bit and think we have landed on [name_f]Mallory[/name_f].
We’re really struggling for a middle we love and which flows. We have a three syllable M surname so long middles or middles beginning with M are off the table. We would like another nature middle really but I have one name I love not fitting this. Because naming [name_f]Meredith[/name_f] was so easy, struggling to get baby’s name right is making me question [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] (but I am something of an expert over thinker…).
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]. Also suggested [name_f]Rain[/name_f] which I do quite like but don’t think I love. I know it’s a bit wild, but I love [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f], it just makes me happy. A friend suggested [name_f]Sunny[/name_f] was a bit more usual but both names finishing with ‘ee’ sounds doesn’t work for me. I also love [name_f]Joy[/name_f] - not a nature name but makes me happy. Not that he doesn’t care, but I think my husband wants my seemingly endless debating to actually end haha.
So please please tell me:
Which work best?
- [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
- [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] [name_f]Rain[/name_f]
- [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f]
- [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
Other ideas?
Is the struggle a sign it’s the wrong first name?
We’re in the UK if that helps at all.
Thank you!
