Mallory?

What are your thoughts on the name [name_f]Mallory[/name_f]?

I like it. It’s always felt like a “cool girl” name to me. I’ve never met a [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] but it feels really faniliar so shouldn’t be “weird” to people. [name_m]Easy[/name_m] to spell and easy to pronounce are also great plusses.

It’s a normal enough name and the girl I knew was intelligent but if you like to factor meanings into consideration, her meaning is rather unfortunate, pun intended

It’s an okay name to me. It always reminds me of a mallard duck. I feel like I don’t particularly like the sound of it or the meaning but that’s just me- there’s nothing inherently wrong with it!

I like it – it has a pleasing flow and feels familiar yet rarely heard.
[name_m]The[/name_m] meaning might be considered unfortunate though, if that worries you

I’ve always really liked [name_f]Mallory[/name_f]! It doesn’t have the loveliest meaning, and it does feel a little dated to me, but I still quite like her!

Despite the unfortunate meaning, I actually adore it! I think she’s cool as hell and severely under used.

Reminds me of the [name_f]Enid[/name_f] Blyton series [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] [name_m]Towers[/name_m] which I used to love as a kid

I like the sound but could never use it because of the meaning. I prefer Valerie/Vallory or Margery/Marjorie.

Reminds me of [name_m]The[/name_m] Babysitter’s Club!! I will admit I prefer [name_f]Valerie[/name_f], [name_f]Margery[/name_f], or [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] (similar vibes to me), but [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] is a spunky, cool name. [name_f]She[/name_f] feels retro, quirky, and vibrant. Very girl next door. :rainbow: :roller_skate: :books: :backpack:
