Something in me has an urge to write [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] as Margeaux. So, I’d pick [name_f]Margo[/name_f].
[name_f]Margaux[/name_f] reminds me of faux-[name_m]French[/name_m] Geaux Tigers. So unless you’re a diehard LSU fan, go with [name_f]Margo[/name_f].
I prefer the classic [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. Since it’s out, I would go with [name_f]Margo[/name_f].
[name_m]Even[/name_m] though I love [name_f]Margaux[/name_f], I do love the original [name_f]Margot[/name_f] too, so I’d vote [name_f]Margo[/name_f].
[name_f]Margaux[/name_f] looks faux to me. I love [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]!
[name_f]Margo[/name_f] is definitely my favorite. I wouldn’t be surprised if Americans pronounced [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] like mar-gox. My favorite spelling of the name is [name_f]Margo[/name_f].
i would definitely go with [name_f]Margaux[/name_f], the name is charming and beautiful, and means many beautiful things.
Since [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is out I pick [name_f]Margo[/name_f]
It’s the charm of [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] for me.
It would also depend where you live and if you think school teachers etc. would pronounce ‘[name_f]Margaux[/name_f]’ correctly.
As a [name_m]French[/name_m] speaker, I can tell you that the [name_f]Margot[/name_f] vs [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] debate is going strong in [name_m]French[/name_m]-speaking countries, too, with [name_f]Margot[/name_f] being the classic choice (but not in the running for you, I know).
I just looked up the spelling for the character in The [name_u]Royal[/name_u] Tenenbaums, thinking it might make more sense for US or British setting: [name_f]Margot[/name_f].

I would go with the pretty, streamlined [name_f]Margo[/name_f] if you are using the anglicised pronunciation with a long ” sound at the end, as I always feel like pronouncing [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] / [name_f]Margot[/name_f] with the [name_m]French[/name_m] short “o” sound.
[name_f]Margo[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] also have quite different imagery to me: [name_f]Margo[/name_f] is English and retro (think 1950s polka dot dresses and lemonade on the lawn) whereas [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] has a more modern, polished, Parisian feel.

I think [name_f]Margo[/name_f] would be a lot easier to wear. [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] always makes me think of faux.
