Margot or Greer?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f] or [name_f]Greer[/name_f] and why?

I’ve seen [name_f]Greer[/name_f] have a lot of love on this site, but it isn’t for me. It’s a simple case of not enjoying the sounds. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is a favourite of mine. I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] has vibes of chic sophistication and capability. I love the O ending standing out in a sea of A and ā€˜ee’ ending girls’ names. I also looked after an amazing little one called [name_f]Margot[/name_f], so I’ve seen it really work on a new generation.

Definitely [name_f]Margot[/name_f] !! I love her bold romantic elegance and cute nicknames. I just don’t like how harsh [name_f]Greer[/name_f] sounds!

[name_f]Margot[/name_f] is lovely

I love [name_f]Greer[/name_f]

While I actually quite like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and considered it for my own daughter, I’m going to come down firmly on Greer’s side here.

[name_f]Greer[/name_f] is tailored, sleek, feminine without being frilly. It fits in with vintage names, modern more androgynous styles, etc. It’s recognizable without being common and positive known associations.

Its meaning is positive without being something over bearing to live up to.

I have personal connections to the name that push it over the top to my hands down favorite name, but it genuinely shocks me that’s it’s not more popular considering how much it has going for it.

[name_f]Margot[/name_f]! :ballet_shoes:

She’s so elegant, sophisticated, feminine with a sweet ballet core aesthetic attached. Such a gorgeous timeless choice. I also like that you have the nickname [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] attached.

I agree!

[name_f]Margot[/name_f] feels very much a ā€œnowā€ name and it may become dated to the 2020s in the future.

[name_f]Greer[/name_f] sits on the outer, never trendy, never dated, it just is, and I like that.

definitely margot! she is so chic while still being playful :ballet_shoes: one of my favourites :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I just can’t get behind [name_f]Greer[/name_f] for some reason - it sounds very harsh to me
