Thoughts? It’s a little more normal/classic than I usually go, but every time I think of it I really like it. I’m half-French, half-American so I like that it works in both languages.
The more detailed your thoughts, the better! Thanks

My next door neighbour when I was a small child was named [name]Marion[/name]. She was a very sweet old lady, she lived to be well into her 90s. Very lively and kind with delicate features and a splash of silvery white hair. I would have trouble seeing this on a child but I do think it could be revived. I also went to high school with a girl named [name]Marian[/name], she was a little left of center but a nice girl overall. I prefer the spelling [name]Marion[/name] or [name]Marian[/name], altogether I think it is a nice name, I would have difficulty disassociating it, and I feel it is also difficult given that the [name]Mary[/name]/[name]Marie[/name]/[name]Maria[/name]'s are so rampant. What about a name like [name]Sylvie[/name], [name]Fabienne[/name] or [name]Fleur[/name], even [name]Marguerite[/name] or [name]Manon[/name]? I went to high school with a [name]Manon[/name] as well, and as far as I know she was not french but the name worked well for her.
Good luck! I hope my constant over-thinking has helped you!
[name]Sylvie[/name] and [name]Fabienne[/name] are names I associate with a different generation (for me from when I’ve been in [name]France[/name]). [name]Marguerite[/name] is a real possibility for me in the middle. I also adore the nn [name]Maggie[/name] and [name]Marguerite[/name], for me, is the best way of getting that. I really like [name]Manon[/name] but I’ve been repeatedly told that it will never be said right and that she will get lots of “man on ____” jokes.
There are a lot of French names though which I really adore. I’m not picking [name]Marion[/name] just because it’s French, and there are several French names much higher on my list, but [name]Marion[/name] was really on my mind today and I realized that I’ve never really asked anyone for their thoughts on it.
And yes, over-thinking is helpful! I do it quite a lot myself
Hello!
Hello! I must say i can see this one coming back, its very vintage and granny charming and I think it would be refreshing on a little girl after a decade of Madisons and Brookelyns, Jadens and Kaylees.
I say if you love it go for it!
I like it but prefer the [name]Marian[/name] spelling ( even though this may be just a regional preference) I think of [name]Marion[/name] [name]Barry[/name] with the O spelling.
I really like [name]Marion[/name]. Its an oldie but a goodie, as they say.
For me [name]Marion[/name] is the only way to spell this name. [name]Marian[/name] I associate with [name]Marianne[/name] and I say that differently.
