Marla?

On one hand I think this name is cute, but for some reason I’m unsure. What do you think?

I like the name, it’s not too popular I think, which is a plus. I have to say it reminds me at bit of a children’s show - ‘[name_f]Martha[/name_f] Speaks’ which is called ‘[name_f]Marla[/name_f] Spricht’ in the [name_m]German[/name_m] speaking countries, it’s a show about a speaking dog

I think it is very sweet- [name_f]Martha[/name_f] is lovely too. I think it would grow beautifully and I can see [name_f]Marla[/name_f] being a caring, kind, studious, active, funny girl with a very creative side.

[name_f]Marla[/name_f] remindes me of character from Fight Club played by [name_f]Helena[/name_f] B. [name_u]Carter[/name_u]. I prefer [name_f]Martha[/name_f].

It’s nice enough, one of my mum’s friends who I was close to as a child was [name_f]Marla[/name_f] I definitely prefer [name_f]Martha[/name_f] though.

That was my immediate thought as well.

I think the name [name_f]Marla[/name_f] is absolutely lovely I used to contemplate the name for a possible future daughter. However, I have a cousin with the name. I am wondering if my aunt meant it as a variation on her mother’s name- [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] cousin, [name_f]Marla[/name_f], became an elementary school teacher. In spite of some difficult experiences, she finds humor in everything. She is one of the funniest, most optimistic, delightful people that I know.
