I like it, though it isn’t my style personally. I think it can be soft and strong at the same time, and [name]Marley[/name] and [name]Lola[/name] are both sweet nicknames for it.
I strongly dislike most names ending in the O sound for girls - it feel very masculine.
I love, love this name. Originally it was on my list for a boy, but after finding that the naming community believed it firmly female I moved it to my girls’ list instead. I think it would work for either.
I don’t mind the name [name]Marlowe[/name] (it has a literary association with writer [name]Christopher[/name] [name]Marlowe[/name]) but I think it’s very trendy. A couple of celebrities have chosen it for both genders so that’s always a red flag for me! I do prefer [name]Margot[/name].
I like it. It’s one of those girls name that’s a little more masculine but is defiantly a lot better than [name]Emerson[/name] or [name]Finley[/name] which are totally boys names to me. I also think [name]Harlow[/name] is lovely.

I actually like it. I’m usually against Masculine sounding names for girls but I do like [name]Marlowe[/name]! I love [name]Margo[/name] too, and [name]Harlow[/name]!

I actually know a young girl named [name]Marlow[/name]. It seems to fit her well and I’ve never heard her have any problems with it.
It’s definitely unusual, but of all the surname names I don’t mind it.
I think [name]Marlowe[/name] is really cute!

I think it’s a lovely name. It’s got a very soft quality to it, without being cutesy or ‘weak’.
Sadly though it’s been tainted for me - I’m watching a lot of Prime Suspect at the minute (the original 90s BBC version) and one predominant character, [name]George[/name] [name]Marlow[/name], is a serial killer; that’s pretty much all I think of when I hear it now. [name]Even[/name] now I’m trying to imagine a cute little girl but I just can’t.

Apparently, a lot of people on here think it’s masculine sounding! It’s all girls name to me, because of the retro [name]Marlo[/name] spelling.
[name]Marlowe[/name], however, seems much more modern and special though.
