Mary or Miriam?

Hmm, that’s an interesting point you’ve risen about [name_f]Mary[/name_f] being a supporting character among her sisters’ more “interesting” names. Thanks!

I love [name_u]Marion[/name_u] but my husband has never been on board with it, unfortunately.

In my opinion, both names are some of the most beautiful that the English name repertoire has to offer. I honestly can’t praise them enough!

I have to admit that I’m slightly biased in [name_f]Mary[/name_f]‘s favour, since she is my favourite girls’ name. But for me she has a slighly wilder personality than the demure [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]. (Interestingly enough, for many previous posters, it seems to be the other way around!) [name_f]Mary[/name_f] combines purity and piety with a free-spirited feel for me - she could be a mischievous country lass with a sweet smile, or a strong and sincere woman.

[name_f]Mary[/name_f]'s imagery would combine better with your nature middles than [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]'s, in my view at least - [name_f]Mary[/name_f] Waterlily or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] Foxglove would be beautiful. But [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] is beautiful too - you really can’t go wrong!

I love the name [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. Its so simple and lovely. Classic and timeless.

But what about [name_f]Mariam[/name_f]? [name_f]Mariam[/name_f] Bluebel is my suggestion.
