-Mary Suffix

Hello! I was just messing around with my lists and I found that adding the suffix -Mary to a one-syllable word can make a really cool (IMO) new name.

Here’s a few I thought of:

Snowmary
Swanmary
Clovemary
Seamary
Fernmary
Sagemary
Fawnmary

What do you think?

These have really interesting fantasy vibes to them! I really like the name [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (which is obviously a word name, not a “smoosh” name, but has similar vibes) so I’m intrigued by these choices as well.

I think the one I like most on this list is Sagemary.

Snowmary and Fernmary are so sweet! I would not use them for a real child but I love them as an animal or character name!

I think these have a very cool futuristic sci-fi type feel to them - a fantastic choice for a character in such a story. I’m not sure how I’d feel about them on an actual child, though I am of the opinion anything works in the middle (or as nickname for that matter)…

Fernmary would be my favourite of those you’ve listed.

I really like those! Fernmary sounds so sweet.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Ethelmary[/name_f], as seen in my username
