What do you think of the name Maslow for a baby girl? Nickname Mazzi! It would honor both grandma Marlowe and grandpa Simon.
Also, I know about the hierarchy of needs association, but I don’t necessarily think it’s a bad thing.

It sounds masculine to me. Also very strong association with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs for me. How about [name_u]Marlow[/name_u]/Marlowe?
It makes me think of [name_u]James[/name_u] Maslow. Not a bad association but it does sound a bit more masculine. If you love it, go for it!
All I can think of is Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, not that that’s a bad thing. I much prefer [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] though.
I’d prefer girls names right now that sound more masculine. I’m crushing on the name [name_m]Ian[/name_m] for a baby girl!
That’s my first thought too, but probably most people don’t know what the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is, unless they work in health care.
I prefer [name_u]Marlow[/name_u]. It’s not my style, but not a bad idea at all.

I feel like most people learn this in college, like a Psych 101 or Soc 101 class. Anyone in a human services profession (social work, counseling, etc) will know this one.
I don’t think the association is bad, at all, just interesting. It feels masculine to me, but I don’t think that’s a reason not to use it for a girl.
Yep this. I learned it in my intro psych class, as well as several other college courses and
I’m not in healthcare.
I prefer [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] and [name_u]Winslow[/name_u]. I’m not a fan of it.
If you want masculine, OK. I can’t imagine a girl being happy to be named this. It also looks like Ma Slow, not appealing.
I’m not a fan of the sound and I think it’s so close to [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] that the [name_m]Simon[/name_m] connection gets lost, sorry.
I know a boy named Mazlow, and I’ve never particularly liked it. I also know a girl named Mazzy on it’s own, and I think it’s pretty cute. I suggest finding a different full name for Mazzy, or just leaving it at that.
I like it! Mazzi is also an adorable nickname
My first thought is that annoying Lazzlow camp show that was on Cartoon Network? I would never use it, but if you don’t know what I’m talking about and don’t have that association, then go for it.
I learned about the hierarchy of needs in many classes starting from my freshman year of high school on. The first was actually a communications class so definitely not just a healthcare thing. It’s not a bad association but I’d also assume you were naming a kid after it, which does seem quite odd to me.
I love the significance it has for you !
It’s not a name I would personally use but I like the similar [name_u]Marlow[/name_u]
My high school did a school wide Maslows hierarchy of needs lesson and I’ve been taught it in sociology and teaching and learning so the association is very strong. I don’t like the sound either
I’m not a fan, sorry. I don’t like how it sounds or looks.
Maslow is kind of cool
I don’t like Maslow. But if you like boy’s names on girls, [name_m]Marlon[/name_m] might be a better way to honor [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m].
