I know this sounds bonkers to most people, but Mason on a girl sounds cute, yet wearable to me for some reason. It kinda has the same vibes for me as Madison, which use to be a boy name in the past. I know it’s popular for boys atm, but so is James. What are your thoughts? Is it wearable for a girl? And any mn suggestions are always welcomed
I know of at least one or two female Masons, and I definitely think it’s usable – fits right in with a lot of other popular unisex names, like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. I personally don’t care for it, but, if you love it, I see no real reason why not!
I do think it’s odd because it’s super popular for boys, and I think the same thing for [name_u]James[/name_u] too. Sorry, I’m not a fan. Though I’m not a fan of the name in general.
i’m not a mason fan in general but i think it does work on a girl
I think it works! Not a fan personally, but I think it’s usable.
I think it could work but given that [name_u]Mason[/name_u] is super popular for boys that could be annoying to have so many people assume she’s a boy based on her name.
Masie (may-see) or [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] (may-zee) would be super cute nicknames for a girl named [name_u]Mason[/name_u]!
It would definitely work for a girl. I think [name_u]Mason[/name_u] is a little dated and boring for a boy though so I feel the same way about it on a girl.
I’ve heard this a few times on girls, so I don’t think it’s very strange. Alot of “son” names are used for girls.
I’ve heard of [name_u]Mason[/name_u] being used on a girl. I don’t love it though I’m not a big fan of [name_u]Mason[/name_u] in general so that’s probably why. Objectively it sounds close enough to [name_f]Macy[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] that it works
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Liora[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Viviana[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Collette[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
I don’t see why not, I’m just not a fan of [name_u]Mason[/name_u] in general
I’m not a fan of the name in general, but I’m sure it could work as a little girl, as long as you’re aware that most would assume she’s a boy on paper!
I think it works! It reminds me of [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. The actor [name_u]Misha[/name_u] [name_u]Collins[/name_u] has a daughter named [name_u]Maison[/name_u].
I’m personally not a huge fan of this name or most -son names in general, but I do know a few little feminine Masons and their names suit them perfectly! I think it could for sure work!
The one girl I know with this name spelled it Maysun. So to me that spelling seems more wearable then the [name_u]Mason[/name_u] spelling but the name I feel is one that could work given the right middle name.
I think it works wonderfully on a girl, though the name isn’t my style. I personally prefer the “Mason” spelling versus adding any Ys or extra Ns. I had a character with the name in a story I wrote when I was younger, so I have a soft spot for it <3
Not sure if this is helpful to you but the actor [name_u]Misha[/name_u] [name_u]Collins[/name_u] has a daughter names [name_u]Maison[/name_u] spelled with an i, which is a nice twist
It’s usable, but I strongly dislike it
I grew up with a girl called Masen!! It’s always leaned more feminine for me because of her. She was very down to earth and I think it suited her very well. I do prefer the -sen or [name_u]Maison[/name_u] spelling for a girl though
This name will always sound like a boy name to me. And it sounds similar to [name_m]Manson[/name_m].
I wouldn’t say it’s unusable on a girl though.
I prefer [name_f]Macyn[/name_f] or [name_f]Maycin[/name_f] or Maicyn as spelling.
