so matilda was always a take-it-or-leave-it name for me, but iāve recently fallen in love again and would adore any & all thoughts! the book was also a huge part of my childhood and maybe the first character who baby july read and knew with my whole heart that she was me.
one of the things holding me back is the lack of intuitive nicknames that iām a fan of. mattie & tillie just donāt do it for me! if you can offer any, i would much appreciate it. also, any combo ideas that give you the feel of my style? look below for an old uc of mine that i think represents it pretty well!

[name_f]Empress[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] was the daughter of [name_u]Henry[/name_u] I and known as [name_f]Maude[/name_f] (which is a traditional nickname for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], and as to differentiate her from her mother).
I am not keen of [name_u]Mattie[/name_u] or [name_f]Tillie[/name_f] either. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nickname for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is definitely [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] (like Swinton and [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] [name_m]Weber[/name_m] from Netflixās The Imperfects). Other nicknames are [name_f]Maude[/name_f], Tils, [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or at a push [name_f]Mila[/name_f]. If you donāt like any of the shortenings you might prefer it as a middle name.
[name_f]Millie[/name_f] and [name_f]Mila[/name_f] are my favorite nicknames for beautiful [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. I absolutely love this name. It was on my parentsā list when they named my sister, and itās got all the spunk and charm that a girl could ever have! Itās delightful. Mostly, I just love reading what a strong and meaningful connection it has as a name for you. I love a name that packs a lot of meaningānot just in its literal meaning, but in what it holds, carries, and reminds the namer of. Your story and inspiration for this name are just sublime.

as for combos: surpisingly, matilda stardust was the very first combo to come to mind when i was considering your style. perhaps a little āout thereā, but i actually think (if i do say so myself) it kind of suits your vibe ? other combos that came to mind were matilda venus, matilda bea, matilda juno, and matilda zelie.
