Which are the two names you’re stuck between? Berries are good, but they’re not that good!

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f] is a name I’ve come across before that I think is lovely.

Haha ciottolo, you were too quick for me. I was still figuring out how to use the poll function
It’s either [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], last name Hay.
Cheers

I prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] I find [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] too harsh. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]'s one of my favourites.

Oh, I see, haha, sorry! [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] is such a strong, feminine name - I absolutely love it. [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] is nice, but it lacks the strength and history of [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f], I think. Definitely [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] for me! Good luck (and sorry for being so eager before, haha  )

I prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f]!! Very frilly Victorian.

Thank you. Although the poll was 50/50, I am tending towards [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] for exactly the same reasons. Hubby likes [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], for it being a bit lighter.
But this thread has assured me ghat I am on the right track

Would you be pronouncing [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] with -leen or -line? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you pronounce [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] with the ‘[name_f]Rose[/name_f]’- or ‘[name_f]Roz[/name_f]’ sound?

  • line and -roz sound, cheers

Such a hard decision, all three names are on my favorite list! I am going with [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], I think it has a great sound. Really though you couldn’t go wrong with either of those middles!

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] flows much better, so it got my vote. [name_m]Both[/name_m] lovely names, though.
