- [name_u]Max[/name_u]
- [name_m]Maxim[/name_m]
- [name_m]Maximus[/name_m]
- [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]
- [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u]
Maximilian is my favourite boy name!
Just [name_u]Max[/name_u]
I’ve always loved [name_m]Maxim[/name_m]! [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] would be my second pick!
I love just [name_u]Max[/name_u]
Just [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_m]Maxim[/name_m] (I pronounce it as max-eem) nn [name_u]Max[/name_u]
I also like [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u].
I love, love, love [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]!
Such a tough choice because I love all of the [name_u]Max[/name_u] names — in fact, my husband is a [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] “[name_u]Max[/name_u]”.
My favourite is a very close run thing between [name_m]Maxim[/name_m] (Euro chic and cool) and [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] (grand and dashing).
In the end, I voted [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] because you could easily call him [name_m]Maxim[/name_m] or [name_u]Max[/name_u] day-to-day, it’s a very flexible name and one with great presence!
They are all nice but I really like [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m]/Maximilien, [name_u]Maxime[/name_u] (with a -e), [name_m]Maxence[/name_m] and [name_f]Maxima[/name_f]!
I voted “just [name_u]Max[/name_u]” because although I love [name_u]Max[/name_u], I’m not in love with any of the “full names” to get there. If I had to pick a “long version” though I’d go with [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m].
Maximus is my favorite! [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] and [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] after that.
I feel like [name_m]Maxim[/name_m] is the only one who’d get called his full name and not just [name_u]Max[/name_u], so [name_m]Maxim[/name_m]!
I love nickname [name_u]Max[/name_u], but I’m the kind of person that prefer a longer name with a short nickname. From your list, my order would be:
- Maximilian
- Maxim
- Maxwell
- Maximus
- Max
I also have a soft spot onf [name_m]Maxfield[/name_m], and love [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] nn [name_u]Max[/name_u].
Maxwell
Mac is too nickname-y for a stand-alone.
Maxwell nn [name_u]Max[/name_u]
Maxwell is my personal favorite.
What a list!
I know one [name_u]Max[/name_u], full name is [name_m]Maximiliano[/name_m]
I also would like to add Maximin.
I voted for [name_m]Maximus[/name_m]. I love word names and names that the meaning is obvious, [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] fits the criteria. I also like the dichotomy between the approachable and cute [name_u]Max[/name_u] and the strong warrior/emperor type, [name_m]Maximus[/name_m].
So…
- MAXIMUS
- MAXIMILIAN - wonderful name, but few people have the patience to say the whole thing. It took me almost a year and access to his legal documents to find out [name_u]Max[/name_u]’s name was actually [name_m]Maximiliano[/name_m] (after all, [name_u]Max[/name_u] is an acceptable full name itself… I just assumed).
- MAXIMIN
- MAXIM (simply because I have a easier time pronouncing [name_m]Maximin[/name_m] than [name_m]Maxim[/name_m]).
- MAX - I honestly prefer as a nn, but I see nothing wrong as a full name.
- MAXWELL - reminder: [name_f]English[/name_f] is NOT my first language! [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] looks like a smoosh [recently invented] name to me.
I KNOW it has history, but… yeah.
I love [name_m]Maximus[/name_m]. Very kick@ss.
Also like [name_m]Massimo[/name_m].
I think Max stands alone really well, it doesn’t need a longer form. Great name, strong, no fluff.
Personally don’t like the longer forms.
Maximilian sounds like million, it seems like a name for the love of money. I don’t know why I’ve always imagined it could be the name of Richie Rich’s friends or something.
Maxwell- not bad but sounds stuffy
Maximus- I like it but would be afraid the name comes with a lot to live up to
Maxim- the men’s magazine. It’s a great name, except the men’s magazine spoils it at least in America. I think it would work perfectly in Europe though.
