May & June Inspired Baby Names?

There’s another quarantine baby on the way! I’m 9 weeks along with baby number 3, due [name_u]June[/name_u] 2021.

Both my girls have names inspired by their birth months so I’d like to do the same for this little bean. It was an accidental theme seeing as we were considering on our eldest’s first name before we realised it was her birth flower. We then used [name_f]Aster[/name_f] as our Sept baby’s middle.

As I’m due very early [name_u]June[/name_u], could I ask for some [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] inspired names for each gender please. I have a few ideas floating around but not too many, especially for boys!

Congratulations! Here are a few suggestions. How about:

May:
:black_small_square:︎Emerald ([name_f]May[/name_f] birthstone)
:black_small_square:︎Maia - goddess of spring
:black_small_square:︎Lily/Lilia/Lilith ([name_f]May[/name_f] birth flower)

June:
:black_small_square:︎Juno
:black_small_square:︎Alexandra (like Alexandrite, one of [name_u]June[/name_u]’s birthstones)
:black_small_square:︎Pearl (another [name_u]June[/name_u] birthstone)
:black_small_square:︎Rose ([name_u]June[/name_u] birthflower)/Rosalie

May and [name_u]June[/name_u] are great months if you have a girl for continuing the birth flower trend since [name_f]May[/name_f] is [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] is [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. For a boy it would be a bit tougher. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought for [name_u]June[/name_u] for a boy is [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]. It doesn’t mean [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but the name includes [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. You could also do [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m] “where roses grow,” or [name_m]Roosevelt[/name_m] “[name_f]Rose[/name_f] fields.” For a boy born in [name_f]May[/name_f], you could use [name_u]Ren[/name_u]. Nameberry says is means “water lily and lotus” and is a Japanese name. Although my understanding is that it means [name_f]Lotus[/name_f] in Japanese so I am not sure about the water lily meaning.

Well, everyone born around the bridge of [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] is a [name_u]Gemini[/name_u], the symbol of which is the twins. How do you feel about [name_f]Linnea[/name_f], meaning twin-flower?

I love [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m]! That would make an amazing middle name.

I love so many [name_u]June[/name_u] inspired girl names that I just know we’ll have a boy to make naming more difficult haha! That being said, I’d love to have a boy.

Lillevi - for lily of the valley ([name_f]May[/name_f] flower)
Kielo - means lily of the valley
[name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] - for [name_f]May[/name_f] birth stone
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] - combines the “may” and “emerald” sounds
Azucena, [name_f]Flordelis[/name_f], [name_f]Lilian[/name_f], Maylis, [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] - “lily” meanings
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] - for [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Vesna[/name_f], [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] - “spring” meanings
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] - means “green shoot” (for spring)

For boys I could only find [name_u]Aviv[/name_u], meaning “spring.” I love the suggestion of [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m].

I adore [name_u]Rosen[/name_u] or Rosewood for a boy - middle name spot?
[name_f]Shosha[/name_f] is Hebrew and means [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. There’s the variation of [name_u]June[/name_u] :cherry_blossom:Juna :cherry_blossom: as well. Some of the ideas for [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] babies I found with a google were naming a baby after a someone you admire who was also born in that month, e.g. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn born in [name_f]May[/name_f], so that may bring up some more name ideas if you like the concept.

You have some amazing girl names so I will try to suggest boy names as it might be a little more difficult

Attwell - lives by the spring
[name_u]Robin[/name_u]
[name_m]Weldon[/name_m] - hill by the spring ( I like this one because wells and don could be sweet nicknames)
[name_u]Owen[/name_u] - youthful , spring lamb

Thank you! Boy names are definitely what I’m struggling with for [name_f]May[/name_f]/June.

We have [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] (I’ve seen it means both [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] so works for either haha), [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosa[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], Róis and Róise for girls. So I think we’re covered there now haha.

Those are soooo gorgeous! What a beautiful and subtle theme !
