I have recently fallen in love with [name_f]Mae[/name_f]/[name_f]May[/name_f] as a first name for its short and sweet feel, however can’t decide which spelling is better! I think I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] however can see it looking almost incomplete? However [name_f]May[/name_f] reminds me a lot more of the Month than the “e” spelling… Would love some berries opinions!
Also love Short but sweet [name_f]Mae[/name_f] with a longer, feminine middle…
For example…
I think I prefer [name_f]May[/name_f], but I don’t have anything against the [name_f]Mae[/name_f] spelling! It does feel a bit incomplete to me, but [name_f]May[/name_f] is-- as you said-- more of a word name, so it just depends on your preferences.
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] is saucy and vintage;
[name_f]May[/name_f] is classic and sweet.
Take your pick!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the long middle names with [name_f]May[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f]; of your list, [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is my favorite. I’ll also add…
I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] over [name_f]May[/name_f] just because it invokes feelings of being vintage, classic, and elegant for me. Not that [name_f]May[/name_f] isn’t… I just personally get it more from [name_f]Mae[/name_f].
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] is glitz, while [name_f]May[/name_f] is a little more gingham. I personally prefer [name_f]May[/name_f], but to me it’s all about image.
I prefer [name_f]May[/name_f] to [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. [name_f]May[/name_f] just seems sweeter and more correct, if that makes sense. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] just looks icky to me, and I know so many [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]'s, etc that it feels almost expected and not at all beautiful. That’s just my opinion though!
I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. I went to school with a boy who’s last name was [name_f]May[/name_f], so to me [name_f]May[/name_f] is gender neutral and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is feminine.
I prefer [name_f]May[/name_f]. I have a feeling that [name_f]Mae[/name_f] was invented by [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]West[/name_u], the sultry actress, which wouldn’t be my preferred association for a young child, but not sure if anyone can confirm/refute this?
I always lean towards [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. I think it has a really vintage feel to it. [name_f]May[/name_f] makes me think of the month immediately. Both are very pretty though. I love [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] & [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
