Maya is it too common or too similar to Wyatt

My husband is smitten with the name [name]Maya[/name]. I also like it, as it came off a list of names that I presented him with, but I have some reservations.

[name]One[/name] is that it’s very popular. We chose [name]Wyatt[/name] for our son which is also trendy and popular, but far less so in [name]New[/name] [name]England[/name] where we live. I just don’t want there to be several other’s in her class, etc.

The other concern is just how similar is sounds to [name]Wyatt[/name]. We both like the way the two names look written out together but when I say them it’s a mouthful. He doesn’t think it matters.

The other names I liked that were rejected by my husband were [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Nora[/name], [name]Nina[/name], [name]Kira[/name], [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Margot[/name], and [name]Hazel[/name]. No go’s.

What about [name]Naya[/name] instead of [name]Maya[/name]?

They are both rather similar. What about:

[name]Gaia[/name]
[name]Kaya[/name]
[name]Maiah[/name] (same sound)
[name]Mariah[/name]
[name]Moira[/name]

I don’t think they sound that badly together. They both have that “eye” sound in the middle, but they don’t feel matchy. [name]Maya[/name] is really pretty, but I know lots.
