We’re still searching for a name for our little princess… Maybe we’ll just call her Jelly [name_m]Bean[/name_m] for the rest of her life. Not!
My husband is convinced on naming her [name_m]Mykelti[/name_m]. He heard it somewhere and he is totally and completely in love. (Isn’t that one of the daughters on that [name_m]Brown[/name_m]'s show? The multiple wives one?) Anyways… I am not a major fan.
It was so easy naming [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]! And we were blessed that [name_m]Kaidan[/name_m] already had a name. Heck, we have an entire list of boys names that we completely agree on! Why can’t we just find ONE girl’s name? (Fingers crossed that the twins are boys!)
I thought that I had him convinced on [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], with the NN [name_f]Addie[/name_f] as it is a family name, but he’s changed his mind.
Anyways… Here is his list and mine together… Maybe someone will suggest something that we both think will suite our little jelly bean.
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] with NN [name_f]Addie[/name_f] (Family Name)
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] with NN [name_f]Evie[/name_f] (Family Name)
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] with NN [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f] (Family Name)
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] with NN [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] (Family Name)
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]
[name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] (as a NN, for what we don’t know!)
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] (though most people associate it as a boy’s name)
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_u]Delaine[/name_u] (what hubby was trying to convince me of before [name_m]Mykelti[/name_m])
[name_m]Mykelti[/name_m] (strictly hubby’s list!)
[name_m]Kerrigan[/name_m] (another that the hubby likes….)
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is such a great name! It would seem that your husband likes more unisex names, while you prefer feminine names. WDYT of [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Kaidan[/name_m] and…
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]April[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
Best of luck! I hope you find one you love!
I actually kind of like [name_m]Mykelti[/name_m], but it probably belongs on little boys. It reminds me of [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u], [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] and [name_u]Shelly[/name_u].
Same goes for [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f], as the -wyn ending is strictly male in [name_m]Wales[/name_m], while [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] is female.
[name_u]Delaine[/name_u] instantly makes me think ‘[name_u]Delaney[/name_u],’ which I like much more.
[name_f]Jillian[/name_f] might be one to consider if you call her Jelly [name_m]Bean[/name_m].
All that considered, [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] are my top three.
With [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] I like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], and [name_f]Elise[/name_f].
Some other suggestions I like with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] are [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Sofia[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Livia[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] with NN [name_f]Addie[/name_f] (Family Name)
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] with NN [name_f]Evie[/name_f] (Family Name)
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] with NN [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f] (Family Name)
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] with NN [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] (Family Name)
Honestly, I am crazy jealous that you have such lovely names in your family tree! I am saddled with [name_f]Phyllis[/name_f], [name_f]Lois[/name_f], [name_f]Gayle[/name_f], etc. Also, I really think any of the four with the nicknames you have chosen would really tie [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Kaidan[/name_m] together. I love all of the full names with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and the nicknames go very well with [name_m]Kaidan[/name_m]. I think [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] are brilliant. I would personally pick [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] or [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].
I love [name_m]Kerrigan[/name_m]! I’ve actually never seen anyone else mention this name, well…this spelling specifically. Also really like Corrigan. [name_m]Mykelti[/name_m] is OK…it’s growing on me! I also like [name_f]Laural[/name_f], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_u]Piper[/name_u] & [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
First of all, thanks everyone for the suggestions and opinions! It really does help! And I really do like some of the suggestions!
Not knowing the gender of the twins yet is what I think is making this more difficult, as instead of just picking out one name we really need to think about 3…
I finally convinced my husband that [name_m]Mykelti[/name_m] just isn’t the name for our daughter… Maybe for someone else’s… But I’m not fond of it! (Here I won!)
However, he still isn’t fond of any of the names that I really like. We’d always talked about the name [name_f]Carys[/name_f] and that isn’t going to work now with [name_m]Kaidan[/name_m].
With the idea of honoring a family member with her name, it wouldn’t matter which name we picked, it would offend someone on the opposite side of the family. (Sad day! We have such amazing family names that I’d love for her to carry on.)
I’m just between a rock and a hard place… Not having a name picked out for her is really stressing me out!
If we decided to go with a “masculine” name, would people confuse her as a boy with two big brothers?
With [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] everyone knew his name basically as soon as we found out he was a boy… And my mom and my hubby’s keep calling and asking if we have a name picked out for Jelly [name_m]Bean[/name_m] yet… So now everyone is calling her Jelly [name_m]Bean[/name_m]…
What combinations (first and middle) would you make with the following names?
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
I suspect your husband is responding to the possessive aspect of the name–MY-keltie. It makes me think of the keltie dog–as in ‘My keltie barked at the mailman.’ [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], perhaps?
